    This Addendum,  its  items and attachments set forth herein shall act to qualify, clarify, or otherwise modify the  previously issued “Tender and Permit” Drawing Set and Specifications dated November 9th, 2017.   These items,  whether of omission, addition, substitution, or clarification, shall be included in the Tender pricing submitted by  all bidders.  Receipt of this document and its attachments must be acknowledged on the bid form.  Failure to do  so may subject the Bidder to disqualification.      This Addendum consists of the following summary of changes:  

    1. A “Designated Substances and Hazardous Materials Assessment” for the Upper/Lower Wagman & Terrace  Floors 1‐4.  It is dated August 2, 2017, and was prepared by Safetech Environment LTD. This 68 page report  (attached) outlines recommendation that are to be completed as part of the bid for this project. Document  reference, SEL project number 168617.  

    2. A “Hazardous Building Materials Removal Specifications” dated August 18, 2017 and was prepared by  Safetech Environment LTD.  This 42 page compilation (attached) includes specification sections outlining the  manner in which the remediation is to be completed.  The specification sections include: 

    a. Section 02 82 13.1 – Type 1 Asbestos Removal   b. Section 02 82 13.2 – Type 2 Asbestos Removal   c. Section 02 82 13.3 – Type 3 Asbestos Removal   d. Section 02 82 13.0 – Lead Disturbance Precautions   e. Section 02 84 13.0 – Handling of Lamps Containing Mercury  f. Section 02 87 13.0 – Silica Disturbance Precautions

  • EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

    Safetech Environmental Limited (SEL) was commissioned by BTY Group to conduct a designated substances and hazardous materials assessment within Upper & Lower Wagman Centre/Terrace Floors 1-4 of Joseph E. & Minnie Wagman Centre located at 55 Ameer Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. The objective of our assessment was to determine the presence, location, condition and quantities of designated substances and other hazardous materials within that have the potential to be disturbed as part of planned renovation activities (i.e. Terrace/Wagman Renovation Project) so that appropriate control measures can be implemented to protect workers during the work. A summary of our assessment results and general recommendations based on our findings are provided in the following Table. This Table should be considered a summary only. Please refer to the Results (Section 3) and Conclusions and Recommendations (Section 4) of our report for additional details.
