While stationary at Frank Elementary School I noticed a chrome Toyota (FNY4050) traveling Westbound on W

South Boundary St. The Toyota appeared to be traveling faster than the posted 25mph speed limit. I checked the speed

of the Toyota with the Laser unit #UX014977 and it showed 44mph at 665.5ft. Calibration was checked at approximately

1535 hours. I then initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Nivedita Rao. I advised Rao I stopped her for

traveling 44mph in a 25mph zone and she said she knew why I pulled her over and apologized. Rao was issued a

citation for Speed, 44mph in a 25mph zone (ORC 4511.21B2(MM)) and given a non-mandatory court date of May 29,

2012 at 4:45pm at Perrysburg Municipal Court.

Meigs. I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 50 mph. I used laser unit TS006433 to perform a speed check

Hartzell was northbound on Louisiana Ave crossing the intersection at E . Second St. Dieckhoner was riding her

bicycle, within the marked crosswalk, crossing Louisiana Ave on the north side of E. Second St. Hartzell struck the

rear tire of Dieckhoner's bicycle knocking her from her bike. Dieckhoner stated she was OK but medics were

requested to check her and treat some scrapes and minor cuts she had received. I asked Dieckhoner if the crosswalk

sign was showing a "walk" signal when she began to cross. Dieckhoner stated it was. I spoke with Hartzell and asked

her if she had ran the red light. Hartzell stated that the light was "changing to red" as she was crossing the

intersection. Hartzell was issued a citation for Failure To Obey a Traffic Control Device (4511.12). Dieckhoner's mother

arrived on scene and declined transport to the hospital for treatment.

Dupree was operating a leased, 2011 GMC Savanah in the left, westbound lane of Maumee-Western-Reserve Road

from West Boundary Street. Dupree states as she neared the bridge, the left rear wheel broke free from the vehicle and

rolled through the eastbound lanes of travel without striking oncoming traffic . Dupree pulled to the right lane and

stopped near the bridge deck, disabled. The wheel is presumed lost in the nearby Maumee River. Blazevich was

operating a Chevy Express van, in the left eastbound lane of Maumee-Western-Reserve Road. As he passed Dupree, a

lug nut from Dupree's left rear wheel broke through the center of Blazevich's windshield. No injuries were

reported. Dupree had just left Ed Schmidt GMC where the vehicle had been serviced.

vehicle travel E on E South Boundary St at what appeared to be over the posted speed limit of 25 mph. I estimated the

vehicle to be traveling at about 40 mph. I used laser unit TS006433 to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to

be traveling at 41 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and advised the driver, Mr Fuerstein, why I had stopped him. Mr.

Fuerstein apologized for going that fast. Mr. Fuerstein was cited for speed. There was an adult female in the front

passenger seat and at least one child in the second row of seats. Mr. Fuerstein stated, "I was hoping for a warning,

but I understand."I had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration check was done at about 1529 hrs.

Doyle reported school bus red light violation that occurred while she was releasing students on Roachton Rd to the

Remington Apartments in front of PHS. Doyle advised that several vehicles exiting eastbound from PHS passed her

while she had the red lights activated, but she was only able to obtain a license plate on a tan Chevy Silverado

(OH-FOQ9413, that was being operated by a former student of hers, Matt Kurek. Doyle did provide a written statement

and completed a Perrysburg Transportation Red Light Violation form.Contact was made with Kurek at his residence. He

advised that the bus driver was just opening the stop sign as he passed, so he did not have time to stop. Kurek was

issued a citation for Stopping For School Buses - red lights (ORC 4511.75 M4). He was given a mandatory court date of

05/25/2012 at 0845hrs. He was unable to provide proof of insurance.


Doyle advised of a school bus violation.

I was parked on Garfield facing W at SR 25. I observed a blue truck traveling N on SR 25 in the passing lane at what

appeared to be over the posted speed limit of 40 mph. I estimated the truck to be traveling at about 55 mph. I used

laser unit TS006433 to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling at 57 mph. I initiated a traffic

stop and advised the driver, Mr. Demoulin, why I had stopped him. Mr. Demoulin asked how fast he had been going

and I advised him 57 mph. Mr. Demoulin was cited for speed.I had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration

check was done at about 1529 hrs.
