2020 LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE | 2

These are difficult times, making relationships, networking, and learning more important than ever. Our Leadership Institute is virtual this year out of an abundance of caution and safety for you, your staff, and the residents you serve. The Association intends to meet these needs despite its virtual nature.

While we thought that 2020 would start with our vision for mission-based long term services and supports here in Michigan, we quickly learned that things change in a moment’s notice. These are indeed life-changing events that provoke new thinking and refocus, require us to become even more nimble and remodel our vision for our near and distant future.

We are pleased to invite each of our members to join us for our annual Leadership Institute - a fully-virtual conference specifically focused on access to the experts and policymakers who can help inform that new vision.

Knowing that 2020 is an election year, we have focused on pertinent state and legislative updates, budget, financial and reimbursement trends, regulations and guidance, innovation strategies, and networking opportunities. We want to help members overcome, persevere, and continue to provide the quality care for which we have come to be known for.

This event has always been one of the most enjoyable for members and business partners because of the tenure of our friendships, shared values, and experiences. It is that collective spirit that holds us to our mission and helps us persevere through regulatory chaos, transformational change, uncertain politics, budget issues, and the pandemic.

Together with our valued business partners we will create possible solutions, share alternative thoughts, and learn from one another.

Plan to join us for our 2020 Leadership Institute, September 9-10. Don’t miss the opportunity to get involved and showcase your company by becoming a conference sponsor and participating in our Virtual Expo.

Each vendor will be assigned a private “virtual room” to host. Conference attendees will be split into groups and rotated through each expo room to hear about your products and services, discuss the needs of their organization and ask questions. During the two days, vendors will have the opportunity to meet with all attendees. We will also offer time each day for vendors to host a private room for attendees to return and have one-to-one conversations.
