Personal CredoSelfiesOver the past 5 years I have been taking selfies on my laptop using Photo Booth.I believe they are a great way to show how I have grown and changed since I was 17, yet at the same time, stayed relatively the same.Grade 12: Check out the braces!

Now, to you these may just be a bunch of random pictures of meBut to me, these selfies have shown me how I have grown and changed over the past 5 years from high school to university, which is a major transition in life.I have not only changed in appearance, but I have also changed in maturity and I have gone through many life-changing experiences.Each selfie is not just a picture of me, but also a story. I find that I often take a selfie when I feel like something important has just happened (which is sometimes just a haircut)Smile!As you can see, in most of these pictures, I am SMILING.That brings me to the first focus of my personal credo: It is important to always look on the bright side of life, no matter how bad things may seem. Sometimes, all I can do is smile, even if I feel like everything is crashing down around me. Plus, even if you are sad, just smiling can bring you even the smallest bit of hope. Even the selfie I took where I am sad, I remember I took that selfie to look back on later and remember that if I can get through that life hurdle, I can get through the next one! Always look forward!Another point to makeI also hope that you will go back and look through these selfies again. As you go through the pictures again, I want you to consider what I was feeling in that moment, and what may have just happened before that picture was taken.That brings me to the other point of my personal credo: I believe everyone should try their best to be kind to one another, and put themselves in someone elses shoes once in awhile. See things from anothers perspective! You never know what you may learn.Say cheese!Now that you have seen many, many selfies of me (trust me, there are way more where those came from), I encourage you to TAKE YOUR OWN SELFIE after watching my presentation.Feel free to send me your selfie, and I will make a PowerPoint of everyones photos if I receive enough. That way, we can put ourselves in everyones shoes, its only fair!Dont be ashamed to take a selfie now and then, there is nothing wrong with controlling your own appearance and outlook to the world!Thanks for going through my Personal Credo!
