Phenomenological ApproachThere are many different approaches to understanding personality, but the dominant approach used today is the phenomenological approach.

The main ideas promoted by this approach include: Taking into account both people’s personal characteristics and the situations they are faced with, as well as focusing on how that person perceives the world around them.
