delivered a lecture on “Personality Development and Employability Skills” to I B.Tech.

ECE Students on 07-09-2016.

Siva Balaji, a Movie Actor interacted with the I B. Tech students to apprise them of the

film “Snehamera Jeevitham” to be released in November. Penamaluru M. L. A, Bode

Prasad graced the occasion which was co-ordinated by M. Rudrama Devi.

The Faculty of Mathematics conducted a guest lecture on “Personality Devlopment” to

motivate the students by Dr. Ulavalapalli Gangadhar Reddy, senior chemist, AP Genco,

VTPS on 20-10-2016.

The department of FE organized a guest lecture on “Personality Development” with the

theme, “Vivekananda Rock” delivered by Sri G.Sree Ram, Secretary, Vivekananda Yuva

Kendra, Kanyakumari branch in association with Rotary Club, Vijayawada.

The department of FE organized a guest lecture on “Anti Ragging Safety Measures” by

Penanmuluru CI, Sri Damodar and SI, Sri D.Suresh on 21-10-2016.

The department of FE organized a guest lecture on “Health and Nutrition” delivered by G

V S G Purna Chandra Rao, consultant, Ganesh Nutrition Centre on 26-10-2016.

The Faculty of English conducted a workshop on “Personality Development” in which

Dr. Yandamuri Veerendranath delivered a speech to I B. Tech. students held on 8-11-

2016.

The department of FE organized an Orientation Programme for I B. Tech students and

parents for the Academic Year 2016-17 on 07-07-2016.

A plantation Programme was held on 15-07-2016 where Sri N. Venkateswarlu,

President SAGTE, Sri B. Sreeramulu, Convenor, Dr. K. Sivaji Babu, Principal, Staff

and students participated and 7000 plants were planted in the garden of PVPSIT. Smt

S. L. Tulasi, Smt P. Pavani and Sri P. Ramakoteswara Rao, Assistant Professors, FED

acted as coordinators.

The institution celebrated Teacher’s day and felicitated Dr. Viyanna Rao, Professor,

former Vice Chancellor, ANU, Nagarjuna Nagar on 06-09-2016. Dr. Viyanna Rao

delivered teacher’s day message to I B. Tech. students.

I B. Tech. students exhibited Models on 15-09-2016 As a part of Engineer’s Day

celebrations coordinated by Mrs. T. Krishna Sree, Assistant Professor, FED.

Nagarjuna University on 21st February, 2017.

The faculty of Environmental Sciences organized a guest lecture on “Disaster

Management” delivered by Dr. K. V. Jaya Kumar Professor, NIT Warangal on 28th

March 2017.

The Faculty of Mathematics organized National workshop on “Recent Trends in

Mathematics and its Applications” on 17th and 18th March, 2017. The resource persons

were Dr. G. Radhakrishnamacharya NIT Warangal, Dr. Y. N. Reddy NIT Warangal,

Dr. B. Maheswari, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Dr. G.Nanaji Rao, AU

Vishakapatnam and Dr. P. L. N. Varma, Vignan University. It was co-ordinated by R.

The Faculty of English organized a National Conference on “Communication Skills

for Professional Excellence” on 24th March, 2017 in which Dr.S.Jaya Raju of EFLU,

Hydearabad delivered a keynote address. It was co-ordinated by M. Rudrama Devi

and Dr. A. Purna Chandra Rao.
