HR Structure is divided into Two. They are:

(1) Enterprise Structure(2) Personnel Structure

Enterprise Structure:

This has got three components, viz.,

(1) Company Code

The company code is defined in financial accounting

(2) Personnel Area Representation of Organization as Division / Department / LocationAssigned to Company code

(3) Personnel Sub Area

Sub-division of Personnel areaIt denotes geographical location of the companyWhile defining Personnel Sub Area, Time Management and Pay Scale Structures aspects to be kept in mind

Personnel Structure is divided into components viz.,

1. Employee Group

Represents a primary subdivision of Personnel Helps in differentiating employees significantly i.e. (a) Active (b) Pensioner (c) Early Retiree It is a selection criteria for reporting & authorization check.

2. Employee Sub Group

It subdivides Employee Groups Within the Active Employee, a further distinction is made like (a) Hourly Wage Earner (b) Monthly Wage Earner (c ) Pay scale Employees (d) Non Pay scale employees It is a selection criteria for reporting & authorization check

Some Infotypes have sub Types: For example:

Infotype 0006 Address: Sub Type 0001 Permanent Address 0002 - Temporary Address 0003 - Emergency Address

Inherent Validations are built in the system to preserve data integrity and accuracy

Authorizations to ensure access / restriction so as to maintain confidentiality
