Refurbishment of moulds?What happens to the horizontal moulds?

• An horizontal mould has to be refurbished every 5 to 8 million cycles, i.e. every 2 to 4 years (of course dependent from cycle times).

• For refurbishment, the mould has to be sent back to the mould maker (approx. 2 months down time).

• The cost is huge !!!! 60-65% of the initial cost of the mould i.e.

- around 140 000€ for a 48-cavity mould

- around 250 000€ for a 96-cavity mould
