Dear Sir or Madame,

On behalf of the Deatt of Hiigincering and Coiiipoier Science and my own behalf, I am writing in support of the petition seeking to upgrade Tlicla Tan Hraternity currently a colony, m a chapter slants at Oakland I Inivcrsiiy.

Since its inception, I believe Ilinl Iiiela Tail has lived up to its mission in advancing the professional interests of its members, and the Iingineering and Computer Science community at large, on this campus. It has actively participated in the Iinginecring Career Days and die School of Iingincering and Computer Science Open I louses. In addition, it has organized seminars of professional interest to the students. Recently. Thcla Tau achieved a major milestone in its endeavors when two of its memliers participated in the Rulic Ooldberg contest at Purdue University and won the second prize for Oakland University. Purdue was Ihe first prize winner.

I believe Iliat the Iltcta Tau organization is on the right track, making positive contributions to the life on this campus. It has always had a very enthusiastic leadership in the past. Current leadership, provided by the Regent, Mr Michael I laga1 is cipially dedicated to advancing the cause of this organization. Lending it a full chapter status would provide an added impetus to the endeavors of 'Hicta Tau I would very strongly recommend that it be granted a full chapter slams.

If you have any qncslions or need for more information, please Iel me know. Iliank you.

Sincerely,

Ilhuslian I.. IlliallAssociate Dean of Iinginccring and Computer Science
