MARKETINGRESEARCH SERVICES

Process Heating is your total marketing source. We offer services to support and extend your advertising investment.

Customized Market StudiesExplore your markets, your position in the market and how to improve acceptance of your product. We will consult with you and conduct the study.

Inquiry Follow-Up Studies Did your prospects receive the information they requested? Were they called by your sales representative? Were they satisfied with your service? A short follow-up questionnaire can be sent to prospects who replied to your ad.

Reprints Extra copies of your ad appearing in Process Heating are available upon request.

Merchandising Letters Process Heating will conduct mailings to a list of your choice. A personal letter from the Publisher pointing out your ad, along with a copy of the issue, is mailed first class to a group of your customers, prospects or Process Heating readers.

Ad Lamination/Framing Your ad can be laminated or framed for display at trade shows or for your office upon request.

Direct Mail List RentalReinforce your advertising program, introduce new products or test new markets with names from Process Heating’s exclusive list of engineers involved in heat processing. Call (800) 323-4958 ext. 8366 for quote.

MARKET COVERAGE

Process Heating is the only magazine in the world that focuses just on applying, transferring, measuring, monitoring and recording heat up to 1,000°F in 9 industrial markets.

Many magazines provide information to the nine basic industries that Process Heating covers. In fact, there are several in each “in-dustry-specific” market. But because these magazines must serve an entire market and its many needs, none does justice to the criti-cal heating process that is essential to those markets. Unlike “industry-specific” publica-tions devoting no more than one portion of one issue a year to heating technology, every issue of Process Heating contains targeted editorial. So, every issue is right for your ad.

OPEN NEW MARKETS, EXPAND SALES

As manufacturers of heat processing equipment or components, Advertisers in Process Heating can prospect for new leads and explore new markets because they will reach heat processing engineers in 9 industries for broader market penetration.

BIG REACH, NO WASTE

Advertisers who previously had spent thousands of dollars to reach a select few professionals in just one industry (such as chemicals or food processing), now can spend the same amount of money – or less – to run in every issue of Process Heating and have little or no waste. For example, if an Ad-vertiser runs just six 1/2-page 2-color ads in Chemical Processing magazine, the adver-tiser would pay a total of $27,082. In 2004, to run in Process Heating’s Platinum Program (Buy 6 Ads, Get 3 Free), the same 1/2-page program would cost only $15,600. Yet the Advertiser would have a total of 9 ads, not just six. Plus, that Advertiser would reach engineers in 9 markets, not just one.

CIRCULATION

Subscriber Qualifi cation ProcessProcess Heating carefully selects the key buying infl uence by soliciting professionals who currently subscribe to vertical industry publications and culling qualifi ed names from reputable dealers, industry trade shows and customer lists. Only those professionals who are directly involved in the buying process are granted a subscription. Each subscriber must indicate his desire for Process Heating by completing a qualifi cation card in print, online or through direct telephone contact.

BPA MembershipProcess Heating is proud to be a member of BPA. The BPA audit statement, which verifi es Process Heating’s circulation, is available on request.

Job Functions Selection of job titles and functions is critical. Process Heating’s circulation staff contacts specifi c manufacturers of heating equipment, components and supplies to monitor the most important job functions in heat pro-cessing operations. For example, in plastics injection molding, the tooling engineer is a key buying infl uence. In the chemical market, a chemical or process engineer might be the target. The job functions of Process Heating’s more than 23,000* subscribers include:

• Process Engineering• Production Engineering/Management• Plant Engineering/Management• Corporate/General Management• Lab/R&D/Engineering• Design Engineering• Sales/Marketing Engineering Management• Maintenance• Purchasing • Consulting Engineering
