Jackson Plaza Gumby Lamp Fixtures Installation

Cast iron lamp posts were installed along the Jackson Plaza granite balustrade.

The 527 lbs lamp post was lifted by a crane to its location.

Each lamp post takes 4-5 hours to install.

When complete with the spherical bulb housing the lamp will reach a height of 6.5 feet. The electrician next to the lamp post in the photo is 5’11” tall.

All electrical connection are moisture sealed with solid filled epoxy for longevity.

The lamp posts are nicknamed “gumbies”.

Efficient and long lasting LED modules are used in each glass spherical bulb.

Brick pavers have been installed on the west side walkway.

Concrete foundation was cast for future planters .

Baggage room and ticketing carousels are being installed.
