- 2 EE5xxx modules (each module 4 MCs)- 2 EE6xxx modules (each module 4 MCs)- 2 “Unrestricted” modules (EE5xxx / EE6xxx / EE4xxx (only 1 EE4xxx allowed), Non EE5xxx / EE6xxx (eg. from Science, other Engin Depts, etc)(non EE & EE4 modules subject to approval by Dept, on case-by-case basis)

GAP / GA Duty• International students on Graduate Assistantship Programme (GAP

Scholarship) : serve 416 hours for entire candidature (vary with scholarships).

• At end of each semester, GAP student keep softcopy endorsed timesheet for ½ yearly research progress reporting; & submit original hardcopy to Dept.

• 3 categories of GAP service as stipulated by MoE : a) Teaching / Lab Supervision

Student to target service in this category, as there is no limit on hrs)b) Research Assistant Duty / Research Supervision c) “Other Development”

• Non-GAP cases (ie. Graduate Assistant [GA]) - serve 30hrs per semester.

• 1st and 8th semesters of candidature are exempted, unless special degree programmes. Must fulfill obligation before thesis submission.

• Scholars who do not perform duly their assigned duties to satisfaction / fail to turn up for work > Partial or full suspension of stipend + hrs served will be considered as void / counted as 50% only.
