As course director, my vision for organizing the Philadelphia Cardiovascular Summit is to deliver a comprehensive, multifaceted program that brings together a diverse group of healthcare professionals to address current guidelines for and advances in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The program will feature high-level, interactive, robust content with educational lectures delivered by the region’s most esteemed leaders in the field of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. We are pleased to welcome you to our inaugural conference in the beautiful Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW & TARGET AUDIENCE
This program will focus on recent advances in the field of cardiovascular care, and options available for the management of patients. Clinical and practical issues that healthcare professionals encounter on a daily basis will be discussed.
This activity has been designed for primary care physicians, clinical cardiologists, hospitalists, emergency medicine specialists, advanced practice providers. Physician assistants, nurses, technologists, medical students and other members of the health care team are also welcome to attend.
C O U R S E O B J E C T I V E SUpon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: » Explain new guidelines, consensus statements and trends. » Review the current clinical trial data regarding cardiovascular conditions,
devices and drugs that can be translated into clinical practice. » Review the recommendations for proper care of the patient by providing
practical and evidence-based information regarding diagnosis, imaging, patient selection, and management of specific cardiovascular conditions.
» Describe the pathophysiology, quantification and latest surgical and trans-catheter treatments of mitral valve disease
» Identify best practices for the screening and management of diseases involving the aorta
» Discuss the current surgical and trans-catheter strategies for patients with critical aortic stenosis
» Review the recent advances in imaging and therapies for coronary artery disease
» Identify the options for pharmacological and device-related management of heart failure
