Team Bulacan conducted seminar/lecture on Barangay Drug Clearing

Program (BDCP) attended by more or less thirty-four (34) newly elected

Barangay Captains of San Rafael, Bulacan held in San Rafael Municipal Conference Room dated August 6, 2018.

Program (BDCP) attended by forty (40) newly elected Barangay Captains, Mayor Ferdinand Estrella and PSupt Marlon Santos, Chief of Police Baliuag Bulacan held in Mayor’s Office Board Room, Baliuag, Bulacan dated August 6, 2018.

Team Bulacan attended joint CPOC and CADAC meeting together with Department of Health (DOH), City DSWD, DepEd, PNP, ABC President and more or less one hundred (100) which are Barangay Captains, Barangay Kagawad and POC Committee held in Malolos Sports and Convention Center dated August 9, 2018.

Team Bulacan attended joint Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) and Barangay Peace Action Teams (BPATS) Seminar and attended by more or less two hundred (200) participants which are Barangay Captains, BADAC members and SK Councilors dated August 21, 2018.

Team Bulacan conducted seminar/ lecture on Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) and the said activity was attended by more or less one hundred (100) participants which are Barangay Captains and Members of BADACS held at Hermies Place, Barangay. Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan dated August 23, 2018.

Team Bulacan attended Command Conference and Weekly Oversight

Committee Meeting and conducted BDCP lecture in Session Bar & Bistro, Brgy Saluysoy Mecauayan City, Bulacan together with Mayor Henry R Villarica, PSSupt Chito Bersaluna, Provincial Director of PNP Bulacan and all PNP Chief of Police of the Province of Bulacan dated August 23, 2018.

Team Bulacan conducted lecture on Barangay Drug Clearing Program meeting participated by all Public Community Relations Officers of PNP Bulacan held in Police Provincial Office, Malolos, Bulacan dated August 28, 2018.

G. ZAMBALES

On August 6, 2018 Team Zambales together with Atty. Gil T Pabilona, Regional Director and IO V Jill A Salamanca, Chief Plans and Operations Division attended awarding of Certificate of Drug Cleared Barangay to the Barangay Official Buenavista, Castillejos, Zambales and conducted Lecture on the Implementation of BDCP.

On August 8, 2018 Team Zambales together with Atty. Gil T Pabilona, Regional Director and IO V Jill A Salamanca, Chief Plans and Operations Division attended awarding of Certificate of Drug Cleared Barangay to the Barangay Official of Batiawan, Subic, Zambales.

PREVENTIVE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY

INVOLVEMENT (PECI) ACTIVITIES

(August 2018)

The increasing use of illegal drugs has significantly contributed to the incidence of

heinous crimes in the community. Further, the proliferation of illegal drugs hampers the efforts

aimed at promoting community peace and harmony and meaningful local development.

Addressing the illegal drug problem is a shared responsibility between the national and

local government in collaboration with the various sectors of society. Toward this end, the

participation of the community plays an important role to address this social menace.

The government, particularly the Department of Interior and Local Government

(DILG) and the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), has come up with a program on the

organization of Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) and the conduct of Barangay Drug

Clearing Operation. Amidst the existence of such guidelines, the implementation and

functionality of ADACs had been challenged. Perhaps due to lack of proper orientation of

various involved stakeholders diminishing the said project to be of less priority, making them

activated but less performing.

Consequently, Board Regulation No. 3 series of 2017 was issued by the Board which

creates the Oversight Committee headed by PDEA Regional Director. The primordial

objective of such creation is to monitor drug-cleared barangays and ensure that the guidelines

set forth by the board are properly and faithfully complied with.

It is for this reason that this Regional Office, conducted series of Capability

Enhancement Seminars for Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) in order to equip the latter with sufficient knowledge, skill, information and update them on the various

programs of the government in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Guillermo attended the Workshop on Barangay-Based Bahay Pagbabago and BADAC

Orientation in Emiliana Hall, Barangay Tenejero, Balanga City, Province of Bataan on August

13, 2018.

The activity was attended by 520 participants composed of barangay and SK officials of

Balanga City. Also present during the event are Hon. Francis Anthony Garcia, City Mayor;

PSSUPT Marcelo Dayag, Provincial Director, Bataan PPO; PSUPT Byron Allatog, Chief-of-

Police, Balanga CPS.

Province of Bulacan held in Sangguniang Bayan Hall of Balagtas, Barangay Wawa of this

municipality dated August 24, 2018.
