Jesus put mud on his eyes (place some playdough on each eye).

When the man washed in the pool he could see (remove ‘mud’ and open eyes).

Note: To make brown playdough, add some cocoa powder to the fl our mixture. The fi nished playdough has a lovely ‘chocolatey’ smell.

MunchiesGear Chocolate custard or yoghurt Powdered chocolate drink fl avouring Milk Plastic cups and spoons

Ask the children to repeat the following prayer of thanks: ‘Thank you for sending Jesus.’

Enjoy some chocolate custard or yoghurt together, remembering the amazing way that Jesus healed the blind man. Alternatively, invite the children to make their own ‘mud’ by mixing milk with the powdered chocolate.

Think about itDid the children recall how Jesus healed the blind man? Did they understand that God sent Jesus?

Think aheadYou will need Leader’s poster 4 (shepherd), and a Children’s puzzle for each child; also a copy of the Sheep and Shepherd photocopiables (pages 31–32)
