Spring Driven Kymograph (old) - This apparatus is mainly used for recording, and it is proven to be satisfactory for recording simple muscular contractions, daily temperature changes and variations in water level. It is used for securing data in determining the speed of the nerve-impulse and reaction times. This apparatus produces a smoky flame due to kerosene or gum camphor, it also uses a fixative called shellac.

Electrically Driven Kymograph – is used to measure atmospheric pressure, tuning fork vibrations and functioning of steam engines. This apparatus is more preferred for long recording time anticipated. It uses a five speed controllable gears to control its speed. It also does not require soot and shellac unlike the spring driven kymograph because this apparatus uses ink.

Long Inductorium – it is a battery-operated apparatus containing induction coils used for controlling/regulating the amount of current that flows in the circuit it also produces a continuous pulsing electric current and a single pulse of current. It has 5 binding posts (3 Primary & 2 secondary). It has a calibration of 1-22, and setting it to 1 gives the max flow of current, its single shock (A&C) is directly reciprocal to the short inductorium(A&B) same goes with tetanizing.

Short Inductorium - it is a battery-operated apparatus containing induction coils used for controlling/regulating the amount of current that flows in the circuit it also produces a continuous pulsing electric current and a single pulse of current. It has 5 binding posts (3 Primary & 2 secondary). It has a calibration of 1-10, and setting it to 10 gives the max flow of current, its single

shock (A&B) is directly reciprocal to the long inductorium (A&C) the same goes with tetanizing.

Simple Key (New) - The main use of a simple key is to create a short circuit (shock) or brake a current flow. The difference of the new with the old is that it uses metal as its base.

Simple Key (old) - The main use of a simple key is to create a short circuit (shock) or brake a current flow. The difference of the old with the new is that it uses wood as its base.

Rubber Mallet/Reflex Hammer - is used to study experiments on reflexes, it also tests the integrity of the spinal cord in the lower back region.

Tambour – when attached to the pneumograph it records the changes in the size of the rib cage.

Muscle Lever (new) – used to record contraction of the muscle

Muscle Clamp – used to hold muscles in place.

Tuning Fork – is used to record time duration of muscle contraction, it creates 100 vibration per second.

Stethoscope - is an acoustic device that listens to sounds from within the body. It is used to hear heartbeats, or airflow in the lungs, or blood flow (as when determining the pulse rate).

Sphygmomanometer - The primary use of a sphygmomanometer is to measure the blood pressure of an individual. There are three types of sphygmomanometer, namely: Mercurial, Aneroid and Digital Sphygmomanometer. Among the three mercurial is most reliable type of sphygmomanometer.

Signal Magnet (old) – it serves as the event marker, it records the time in seconds and the type of stimulus applied. The old signal magnet has its electromagnetic coil wrapped outside.

Signal Magnet (new) – it serves as the event marker, it records the time in seconds and the type of stimulus applied. The new signal magnet has its electromagnet hidden inside.

Pneumograph - is an instrument along with the tambour is

used for making a record (pneumogram ) of respiratory movements

Spirometer - is a device used to record different pulmonary volume and capacity. It also helps in keeping the lungs healthy during the healing period. It utilizes its record using the metric system (mL).

Stimulator / Converter – it is an alternative source of electric current. It converts alternating current into direct current which can have a variety of voltages from 3V to 12V.

Battery - The main use of the battery is to supply the electric current that is to be utilized by the primary circuit apparatus. There are two types of current, the direct and the induced. There are also two types of batteries, the dry and the wet.
