From our offices near Elstree film studios, Pioneer Selection provides permanent and

contract engineers to a variety of industry sectors throughout the UK and Europe.

Our Consultants are divided into various teams that concentrate in specific

geographical regions or vertical markets, targeting SME’s through to

FTSE 100 Companies.

We offer our clients ‘contingency recruitment’ services through to ‘search and

selection’ solutions and with our cutting edge CRM we match thousands of

candidates to those clients each year.

Sam Vincent

After coming from a completely irrelevant background with no sales

experience other than retail, I was sceptical as to how well I would

get on and if recruitment would be for me. Hearing stories about

how some recruitment companies would simply show you the door if

you didn’t meet your targets, also nerved me.

However, from interview stage through to today, Pioneer Selection

have been very welcoming and not estranged me from anyone

else within the business. Assurance was provided that, if targets

weren’t met, reasoning would be found and I would be helped

back on track.

With great incentives to progress and push myself, even after

the initial struggle, the team and opportunity helped me to stay

positive.

Tailored team training sessions as well as one-to-one

development has really helped to grow my understanding of the

company and industry, whilst keeping my confidence high.

Pioneer Selection work to a company ethos of organic growth

and meritocracy. Following this, I am also confidently encouraged

to further my career and be the best I can be.

Chris Bacchus

I joined Pioneer in March 2013.

After spending 12 years within the IT sales market, I had hit a point

within my career where I was extremely frustrated. I felt that I had

achieved everything I could within the industry and felt

completely demotivated. I no longer had an interest in the

product that I was selling and had lost all of my passion when

selling this kit.

My brother had spent a number of years within the

recruitment industry and I would speak to him about his role

on a regular basis.

From this I felt that recruitment was an industry that I could do

well in as I had the underlining sales experience which I was

sure I could transfer over to the industry. With this in mind I

started my search of recruitment opportunities.

I then came across an opportunity at Pioneer Selection –

this was originally brought to my attention through an agency –

I liked what I heard.

I went through a series of interviews and was then offered a position

at Pioneer. What an excellent move this was – recruitment was everything

I thought it would be and was the opportunity I was looking for to save

my career.

It was obviously challenging at first – although I had the sales experience I still needed to

learn the engineering market and learn the processes of recruitment at Pioneer.

Now nearly 2 years in I am becoming very confident in my role and feel that I am adding real

benefit to my team. From a personal point of view I am now earning an overall salary that I have

NEVER earned before and am now very clear of my aspirations moving forward of which I am

positive Pioneer can meet.

In summary – joining Pioneer Selection was the best move I ever made and I intend to progress

through the company spending the rest of my career here.

My career at Pioneer Selection

started in January 2015.

When you start a new job it’s always scary not

knowing who you will be working with or how well you are

going get on with colleagues and how are you going to fit in.

At Pioneer Selection, it was completely different. On my first day I

was welcomed by the managers, followed by my colleagues. I had

never worked in recruitment before, and nerves were kicking in, how

will I handle the pressure of performing and how can I achieve my

objectives. However as soon as I arrived I received great training from

the management team and took everything that I learned on board.

Training at Pioneer Selection allowed me develop my telephone skills

as well as communication skills and today I am achieving my

objectives and meeting targets.

There were many different reason why I decided to join Pioneer

Selection as a resourcer, but I guess the main reason was

scope of progression and the unbelievable support from all

of the staff. I am now working towards progressing my

career and hopefully with all the support and

further training I can achieve this.

Andrew McFarlane

I joined Pioneer Selection in April 2010

and over the past 5 years, have seen the

business grow significantly. Whilst the ultimate goal of

the business has remained the same, we have a

methodical but adaptable business model that allows us to

react effectively to market conditions. Whilst most recruitment

companies provide desks, Pioneer Selection has a team based

ethos with everyone being regarded as an important member of the

organisation. Opportunities to gain promotion within the business are

endless and the rewards / incentives for performance are

very attractive.

When I first joined Pioneer Selection, I did find it hard initially to adapt

to the working practices of the business.

But through continuous support, effective training and

development, commitment and building relationships,

it has allowed me to achieve a considerable amount of

success within a specific marketplace. If you are looking

to build a career in recruitment or not getting the

support you need, I would recommend

joining us and being part of a

successful company.
