Let me first just say that we are big admirers of your work and that we find your songs inspiring, especially your song ‘Habit’.

For this reason, we are inquiring about the possibility using ‘Habit’ as our A2 economics coursework. We have been able to clearly imagine a path in which we can go with this song; therefore, we would find it very courteous of you to allow us to use this song. Apart from you being a great musician and a great personality, we know that your look and theme is distinctive and unique to yourself, this will allow us to portray your views and opinions clearly.

We have found your song easy to get our ideas around, and we hope that you and your band will grant us the use of this song. We will not be making any profit or money from this as its sole purpose is for academic use and we are willing to give the rights for this song, which will allow you to use it in any means that you see fit.

Our idea for this video is for the lyrics of the song and also the meaning of the song to be distorted, we find this more distinguishing as it allows for us to use our own take on the song. The primary narrative in the music video is the story of the lead male character, this characters face is unseen by the audience, which allows his real identity to be kept unknown. This will also allow the audience to place themselves in his shoes and will result in a better relationship between them and the male protagonist. The storyline is that the man and his girlfriend/wife, have broken up and he has become depressed, and as he writes a note to his girlfriend/wife, which we find out is his suicide note later on in the music video. This note is the lyrics of the song, and, when written, will match the words of the song on screen at the moment. At the end of the song we see a noose on the table next to the man and his intentions are made clear, the words of the song will also be lip synced to the man when he is on the phone to the women. At the end of the song he is seen hanging, and the women walks into the house, and the camera cuts to black.
