    OverviewofeLearningContactResponsibilitiesAsoutlinedintheTransferPaymentAgreement(TPA),theeLCisresponsibleforprovidingleadershipandcoordinationofallfacetsoftheprovincialelearningstrategyintheboard,includingelearning;blendedlearning;HomeworkHelp;andMinistryprovideddigitalresources,includingthoseprovidedthroughtheOntarioEducationalResourceBank(OERB)andtheOntarioSoftwareAcquisitionProgramAdvisoryCommittee(OSAPAC).ItisexpectedthattheeLCworkcollaborativelywithotherboardemployeestoaugmentthenumberofK12studentsusingtheprovincialLMSforelearningand/orblendedlearning.ELCsarechallengedtohave25%oftheboardsstudentpopulationusingsomeaspectoftheprovincialLMSbyJune30,2013(e.g.,foranelearningcourse,forablendedlearningcourse,onlyePortfolio,onlyforcalendarsandnewsitems).Inmostdistrictschoolboards,theeLCpositionwillbeoccupiedbyoneindividual,whowillspendhis/herfulltimefulfillingtheresponsibilitieslistedabove.However,insomedistrictschoolboards,itmaybeadvantageoustodividethedutiesoftheeLCpositionbetweentwoormoreindividuals(e.g.,onepersonoverseeselearningandblendedlearningfor50%ofhisday;onepersonoverseesHomeworkHelpanddigitalresourcesfor50%ofherday).ThetotalamountoftimetheseindividualsdevotetofulfillingtheeLCresponsibilitiesmustequalonefulltimeequivalent.RegardlessofthenumberofpersonsinvolvedinfulfillingtheeLCresponsibilities,boardsmustprovideonlyoneeLCastheministrycontact.Thiscontactwillberesponsibleforrelayingandcollectingpertinentinformationtoandfromothersintheboard.TheeLCisidentifiedonthefrontpageofthisimplementationplan.Pleaseidentifyhowthefourareasarebeingaddressedinyourboard.Seeexamplesonthefollowingpage.
