Key selling pointsOur key selling points for our film include: The actors- well known actors that the target audience (12-25) maybe able to relate too as they are of a similar age and also if they arewell known actors among this age group then they will be able toidentify them before going to see the film. This may influence theirdecision in whether to go and see the film or not. The fact that it was a book before hand and many people may haveread this book and may want to see how it can be shown on ascreen with actors. They also may be intrigued to see this films takeon the film compared to the book and any differences it may involveor even a slightly different storyline, to see which is better. The music- new music that the viewers may not have heard before,making it different to all other films of this genre (thriller/mystery). Themusic will vary throughout but will involve several different newmusicians that have yet to be used in a film, making it different to allother films and making it stand out from the rest. 3. Highlighted plot synopsisSynopsis- for HOMESICKWith a newly found sense of freedom and part time job Georgia has moved away from home for the first time. The family cometogether for a final time to celebrate her 18th birthday party with her friends and family before she leaves. In the small village whereher and family live she is a symbol of new life and regeneration as she makes her own way and career for the first time. She and hersister are celebrating when she receives a nasty text message from an ex boyfriend who she left a year ago. She had been with himbut ended it when she realised he was intimidating her younger sister Steph. The celebrations continue, the text ignored, and thevillage proceed to bid her farewell as she moves to another nearby village. She has arranged that she will see her family every threeweeks and keep in regular contact; however this changes for the worse.The family keep in contact with Georgia and they know her to be well. However in Georgia's mind things have changed and shefears telling her family because if the large burden she feels she holds on them. She is back in contact with her ex boyfriend and isbeing manipulated daily. Unknown to her family and friends Georgia is sneaking back into her family home as she seeks protectionand is homesick. Her family loose contact with her and don't see her for a year. Evidence of them looking for her is shown in thetrailer until the clip fast forwards.During the year that Georgia is missing she changes drastically and is made to think by her ex that her parents dont want her anddont care about her so she should not go home and should stay where he can see her and look after her because he has been inher head so much she begins to believe this and becomes even more homesick. The family have not seen Georgia for nearly awhole year and a sense of giving up is obtained by the family even though they want to continue their search.A Year on, the family are celebrating Georgias 19th birthday, without her. A shrine is made, photos, banners and candles, inremorse and remembrance of the lively family member they knew. Her sister, mother and father refrain to going into Georgias room,they feel it is intruding and realise they don't want to dwell on the past. At this very point in the film trailer she is in her room; listeningto her family and friends downstairs.Georgia continues to come in and out of the family home, still being manipulated and contacted by Mark. Georgia develops OCDand thinks she is becoming obsessed with Mark. She resorts to harming herself due to her obsessive nature and develops newhabitual processes of ordering things. She also becoming hugely frustrated with her situation due to the psychological manipulationshe has been subject to and falls into a bad emotionalise state. Georgia is scared of herself and doesn't understand her situationherself.Months on she has reached breaking point and is found crying on the stairs of her family home. Her sister finds her and calls herparents. They try talking to her and are overjoyed that she is back. She then becomes aggressive. They dont know her past and as aresult, are scared of their own daughter.At the end of the film Georgia hits rock bottom and developed a strong barrier against social influences, showing the reason whyshe deflects her parents away from her. Due to this mental disorder and her weak mental state she turns solitary and is led to arsonand criminal offence. She is the arsonist who burns her ex-boyfriend/manipulators house when he isn't there. She plays with a lighterin a sequence of phases in the same room and runs from the house just in time before it explodes with him inside. 4. What we want to show and what wewant to hide in our trailer: At the start of the trailer we will reveal the five main characters (Georgia, Steph, themother, the father and Mark- the ex boyfriend). These will be shown through close upshots of them all individually and also all of the main family together (wide shot) and thenanother shot of the ex boyfriend (Mark) on his own to show how he doesnt really belongthere and isnt wanted. We will show these main characters along with their real names,which may attract the audience as the actors are one of the key selling points of the filmwhich will draw them into watching it. So if the main characters are revealed right at thevery start of the trailer that will be the first thing the audience see so they will rememberwho is in the film. The part of the narrative that we will show to the audience will not include the whole ofthe plot synopsis and will not reveal the ending, it will also not just be the opening to afilm, so will include lots different parts of the film without giving anything away. The setting that shown to the audience will include a variety of different places from thedifferent points in the film to show everything doesnt happen in the same place. But theamount of settings is limited as it is a story about Georgia, who is confined and cannotescape, so the limited amount of setting that is revealed highlights to the audience partof the storyline and helps them to understand just through the trailer. We will hide the ending so it will make people go and see the film to find out whathappens next and what happens to Georgia, her family and her manipulative exboyfriend who is taking over her life. 5. Parts for the narrative that we will show: Georgia in her own home, in a friendly environment that she feels comfortable in, showing he everydaylife with her family. Short snippet of this to show that it is short lived and does not stay this way for long-quicklygoes away from this into everything in her life going down hill. Georgia getting a weird text from her ex at her 18th birthday and looking worried about what is tocome (a shot of her phone and what the text says: Meet me. 2pm. I know where you are, so dont belate.) This continues for a few seconds showing her not being able to concentrate on her party and hertrying to put on a brave face. The trailer then skips to a brief shot of her moving out and continuing to carry on with everything despitethe texts she is receiving from her ex boyfriend. The next part that is shown from the synopsis in the trailer is when Georgia is at her new flat lookingscared and like she doesnt know what to do. It also shows another shot of a new character that hasbeen added to the plot (the ex boyfriend- Mark) looking angry, but the audience are not shown if theyare in the same place or not, building up suspense for the audience. The next few parts of the trailer reveal to the audience the abuse that Georgia is going throughbecause of her ex working his way back into her life- shows her breaking down- little clips of her crying,screaming, getting anxious and her mental condition developing because of the manipulation thatMark has put her through over the months. The next part that is shown is Georgia hiding, looking at a missing article of her. Then the family looking distraught along with Georgia at home in her own bedroom (without familyknowing)- becoming OCD and more scared- several clips of this. The clips slow down as time goes onthen the screen goes black. The screen comes back showing her grabbing a lighter and being very impulsive and then it ends witha close up of her flicking the lighter looking possessed.
