P r e s e n t a t i o n

Sempervirens was created under the direction of Frédéric-Charles AILLET with collaboration of Raphaël FAVORY and Pierre SARRIEN. After graduating from the university they have accomplished several projects together and they were able to win the national architectural competition. The goal of this project was to design the garden of the Embassy of France in Tokyo, Japan. This collaboration led them to create their own firm “Sempervirens” in 2008.

The team brings together complementary skills in landscape design, urban planning, urban design and hydraulic engineering. Sempervirens provide a variety of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design professional services. The firm is committed to use the native plants and provide sustainable and energy efficient masterplan for each project. This process is always followed by an extensive analysis of the site’s geology, pedology and microclimate. The goal is to preserve the biodiversity heritage, restore degraded ecosystem and to avoid the standardized plantations. The result is always a landscape design formal or natural which contains the usage of native plants and sometimes give the sense of contrast (formal vs. natural) to the place.
