As I write this morning, I am staring at a blank white page that I need to fill with words. Actually, I need to parally fill it. If I fill it completely, it will not fit on the Proclaimer. There have been weeks that I have had to brutally cut down my thoughts so they would fit. There have also been weeks that I have struggled to come up with 200 words. Somemes I wonder if anyone actually reads what I write every week. I toyed with the idea of wring gibberish one week to see if anyone would noce, but Bridget would not let me. In all seriousness, I am grateful that I have this space to fill each week, and I am blessed to pastor a church like Pleasant Ridge. Today, you may not have a space to fill with words, but you do have a space. Every day that we wake up we are given a new, clean space to fill with our acons and words. Some days we struggle to fit everything in the space, and some days we struggle to accomplish anything worthwhile. Somemes we wonder if it even maers what we do with our space, and we are tempted to fill our space with doodles and meaningless gibberish. Psalm 90.12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” (NASV) The Psalmist challenges us to value every day. We should realize that our me here is short and the opportunity to leave something meaningful behind is small. This week I want to challenge you to look closely at the giſt that God has given you – the giſt of a space. God has given you an opportunity to do something special. What will you do with it? Will you fill your space this week with gibberish or will you fill your space this week with acons and words that prove to the world how great your God is? I pray that we will all use every inch of every space we are given in the service of our amazing God. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in church. Great things are happening at PRBC. A Note from the Pastor...

As I write this morning, I am staring at a blank white page that I need to fill with words. Actually, I need to partially fill it. If I fill it completely, it will not fit on the Proclaimer. There have been weeks that I have had to brutally cut down my thoughts so they would fit. There have also been weeks that I have struggled to come up with 200 words. Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually reads what I write every week. I toyed with the idea of writing gibberish one week to see if anyone would notice, but Bridget would not let me. In all seriousness, I am grateful that I have this space to fill each week, and I am blessed to pastor a church like Pleasant Ridge.

Today, you may not have a space to fill with words, but you do have a space. Every day that we wake up we are given a new, clean space to fill with our actions and words. Some days we struggle to fit everything in the space, and some days we struggle to accomplish anything worthwhile. Sometimes we wonder if it even matters what we do with our space, and we are tempted to fill our space with doodles and meaningless gibberish.

Psalm 90.12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” (NASV) The Psalmist challenges us to value every day. We should realize that our time here is short and the opportunity to leave something meaningful behind is small. This week I want to challenge you to look closely at the gift that God has given you – the gift of a space. God has given you an opportunity to do something special. What will you do with it?

Will you fill your space this week with gibberish or will you fill your space this week with actions and words that prove to the world how great your God is? I pray that we will all use every inch of every space we are given in the service of our amazing God.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in church. Great things are happening at PRBC.
