Traditional ILL
Traditional interlibrary Loan is a service through which circulating books not found in the online catalogs of Saint Louis University Libraries or MOBIUS libraries may be requested and obtained from other libraries.
Requests for photocopied articles are obtained from other libraries and always are requested through ILLiad.
15
• We participate in several cooperative lending programs that provide fast turn around time. We have access to libraries locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Generally photocopied articles arrive in two to five days and books arrive within a week to ten days
• Primarily photocopied articles and circulating books are available. • Video cassettes, dissertations and loose-leafs may be difficult to
borrow. • There is no limit to the number of items you may request at one
time. If you are requesting a large number of books allow yourself enough time to obtain and use the information.
16
• Typically, books borrowed through interlibrary loan only have a two to three week loan period with no renewals.
• MOST IMPORTANT: Complete bibliographic information must be provided. Article requests must have the author, title, volume, date and page number.
17
ILLiad• ILLiad is an electronic system used to request items, either
photocopies or books• ILLiad offers the convenient option of having articles delivered to
you via electronic delivery• Once you have entered your personal information you will not have
to supply the information again

item arrives in the library
• You will be able to review your current and past
requested items
