General informationAcomfortableatmosphereindoorsisreachedwitharela-tivehumidity levelbetween40and60%.Yourhumidifierautomaticallycontrolsthehumiditylevelaccordingtothedesiredsetting.Iftheairistoodry,thehumidifierwillauto-maticallyswitchon.Assoonasthedesiredhumiditylevelisreached,itwillswitchoff.

Unpacking• Carefullyremovethehumidifierfromthebox.Placeyourhandsunderneaththeproducttopullitoutofthebox(10).

• Warning:Donottaketheunitoutoftheboxbypullinguponthetankhandle-basemayfallandwillbedamaged(11).

en Setting upFindingtheideallocationforyourunit:• Donotplacethehumidifierdirectlynexttoaheatingventoronafloorwithfloorheating.Themoistureofthemistcandamagethefloorsurface(6)(seeSafetyInstructions).

• Theunitshouldbeplacedinanelevatedposition(7),e.g.onatable,chest,etc.atleast3ftoffthefloor.

• Themistoutletmustnotbepointeddirectlyatplants,furniture,orotherobjects(12).Keepdistanceofatleast20inches(50cm).

• Soakthedemineralizationcartridgeinawaterbath24hoursbeforeusingit(13).Thegranuleshavetoabsorbwatertoreachmaximumperformance.Ifthecartridgeissoakedinthetank,makesuretoexchangethewaterandemptythewaterfromthebasebeforeusingthehumidifier.

• Onaveragethedemineralizationcartridgeshouldbereplacedevery2–3monthsdependingonyourwaterhardness.Someareasmayneedtoreplacethecartridgesooner,somemaylastlonger.Thecartridgemustbeexchangedatthelatestafter6monthsortheunitdoesnotreachitsfullperformanceanymore.

• Placethewatertankontothebase.• Inserttheplugintothesocketandswitchontheapplianceusingtheon/offdial(18and19).

Do not operate the humidifier when the water tank isempty!When thewater reaches theminimum level, theunitswitchesoffthenebulizerfunctionautomatically.Theemptyindicatorlightcomesonshowingtankisempty.

•Removethewatertankfromthebaseandunscrewthewatertankcap(14).

• Makesurethatnoforeignobjectsareinthewatertank.• Fillthetankwithclean,coldwaterfromthetap(15).Closethecapofthewatertanksecurely,placethewatertankontothebase(16).Thewaterisnowrunningfromthetankintothebase.

• Donotpourwaterintothemistoutletoftheappliance(17).

• Inserttheplugintothesocket(18)andswitchontheapplianceusingtheon/offdial(19).Theemptyindicatorlightmaystayilluminatedforsomesecondsuntilthebaseisfilledwithwater.

Do not use additivesWater additives (ethereal/essential oils, fragrances,eucalyptus, water conditioners, etc.) must not be used!Evenasmallamountcancausecracksinthematerial.Thematerialisn’tmadefortheuseofsuchadditives.Onedropisenoughtodamagethetankandasaconsequencetheunit.Anyuseofsuchadditiveswillvoidthemanufacturer’swarranty.

A) On/Off Dial and regulation of mist outputTurningtheright-handrotarydialclockwiseswitchestheappliance on and at the same time regulates the mistoutputfromlowtohigh.

B) Hygrostat (setting the humidity level)The desired humidity level can be set by turning theleft-hand rotary dial clockwise. A relative humidity ofbetween40%and60%isrecommended.Youcanachievethislevelbyrotatingthedialuntilitisroughlyintheverticalposition.Themeasurementaccuracyis+/-5%.Assoonasthehumidity exceeds the desired setting, the applianceswitchesoff.Theappliancedoesnotswitchoffifthedialisturnedallthewaytotheright.Thisactivatesthecontinuousoperationfunction.

Operation AOS U600 C) Operation with pre-heating (warm mist)ButtonCisusedforswitchingthepre-heatingonandoff(symbol Dlightsup).Asaresult,thewaterispre-heatedtoa temperatureof176°F (80°C) beforeenteringthenebulizerspace.Ittakesapprox.10to15minutesforthewater inthebasetowarmup.Themistnowleavesthehumidifieratapleasant temperatureof104°F (40°C).Theadvantageofthisisthattheroomtemperaturedoesnotdropand,inaddition,itsignificantlyimprovesthewaterqualitymaintenance.

A) On/Off Button and Display DimmerBypressingbuttonAonce,youcanswitchtheuniton.Bypressingittwice,thedimmerisswitchedonwhichauto-matically dims the display brightness andsymbol N comes on.When changing any settings the display willilluminate fora fewsecondsbefore returning todimmermode.BypressingbuttonAathirdtime,theunitisswitchedoff.Thisbuttonisalsousedtoresetthecleaningindicatorlight(byholdingdown).

Water quality maintenanceTheAIR-O-SWISSHydro Stick 7017 keepsAIR-O-SWISShumidifiersoperatingat theirhighest levelbetween rec-ommendedcleanings*.Goodforoneyear,theHydroStickensuresthehumidifier’sfunctionalitywhileprovidingfreshhumidificationperformance.It starts towork as soon as it comes in to contactwithwater,eveniftheunitisturnedoff.TheHydroStickshouldbe changed every year. Look at picture 28 for the posi-tionoftheHydroStickinthebasepartoftheunit.Donottouchthewaterinthebaseduringoperation!Switchofftheunitfirst.Contactyourlocalretailerorcheckourwebsitewww.airoswiss.net for reorder information. The replace-mentHydroStickcomeswithametallicclipwhichisnotneededfortheplacementinthisproducttype.

•Removetheplasticcupandthepinkstyrofoampiecefromthecartridge(38)andretainforfutureuse(therefillgranulesconsistsof3refillbags)(39).

•Closethecartridge(40).•Soakthedemineralizationcartridgeinawaterbath 24hoursbeforeusingit(43).Thegranuleshavetoabsorbwatertoreachmaximumperformance.Ifthecartridgeissoakedinthetank,makesuretoexchangethewaterandemptythewaterfromthebasebeforeusingthehumidifier.

•Screwthecartridgeonthewatertankcap(44).•Screwthecartridgeonthebottomsideofthewatertank,putthetankonthemainbody(45).

Placinggranules in thecenterof thecartridgeallowsthemtoescapeintheunitortoclogtheunit.Theunitwillnolongeroperateproperlyandthegranulesneedtobecleanedoutthoroughly.

Option B: replace the whole cartridge•Removethewatertankfromthebaseandunscrewthewatertankcap(30).

•Thedemineralizationcartridgeisattachedtothetankcap.Unscrewthecartridgefromthecapbyturningitcounter-clockwise(31).Important:doNOTdisposeofthewatertankcap!

• Throwthewholecartridgeintothewaste(41).•Unpackthenewcartridge(42).•Soakthedemineralizationcartridgeinawaterbath24hoursbeforeusingit(43).Thegranuleshavetoabsorbwatertoreachmaximumperformance.Ifthecartridgeissoakedinthetank,makesuretoexchangethewaterandemptythewaterfromthebasebeforeusingthehumidifier.

•Screwthecartridgeonthewatertankcap(44).Closetankcapwellandplacethetankonthemainbody(45).

Q.Do you leave your door open or closed when the unit is running?

A. a) Byleavingthedooropen,thisallowsmoisturetoleavetheroomandgointootherareasofthehouse.Ifyouwouldlikethemoisturetostaywithinonespecificroomyoushouldconsiderclosingthedoorwhiletheunitisrunning.
