    2.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

    2.1 General

The Fabricator shall consider the specified performance requirements for this structure and where no fabrication method has been specified, use their most effective fabrication methods to construct this structure.

    2.2 Completeness of Supply

All members shall be supplied complete and operational except as specifically excluded, and shall include all necessary accessories and the incorporation of all miscellaneous material, minor parts and other such items, whether or not the items are specified, where it is clearly the intention that they should be supplied or where they are obviously required and necessary to complete and commission the equipment.

3.0 XSTRATA SPECIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Refer to the listing below for the specifications that shall be used for the construction of the Platform Structure the bullet point items shown below each specification indicate where there are deviations from the standard specification or where additional items are required for this particular piece of equipment.

Should any components of the fabrication not be covered by the XT specifications listed below, then, these components should, as a minimum, comply with the latest issues, addenda and supplements of the relevant Peruvian Standards, Regulations or Statutory Codes.

3.1 Quality Assurance Requirements for Procured Items - PMA-XT-SP0009 Rev 0

Quality plan Level B Partial Traceability shall be used.

The following are additional documents required for Quality Plan Level B traceability:

    1. Manufacturers certificates of compliance with the relevant standards shall be supplied for all steel used in the fabrication of the structural members. Test certificates shall be supplied as required in PMA-XT-SP0009. Any steel for which compliance certificates cannot be supplied will be liable for rejection.

    2. Welding Procedure Qualification Records

    3. Dimensional Verification Records

XT and the End user maintain the right to perform quality inspection visits at the manufacturers facilities at any reasonable time.

All quality related documentation must be made available to XT for review when requested.

The manufacturer shall provide XT with 6 working days advance notice before the occurrence of every Hold point (H) and Witness point (W).

The manufacturer shall have a current, audited Quality Control and Assurance program meeting the requirements of ISO9000 series and/or ASME quality program specifications.

Welding shop and operators, equipment, materials and methods employed on the Work are certified in accordance with AWS 1.1. Certification of such qualification must be made available 2 weeks prior to commencing work. Where welding is required using special techniques, ensure certification is to include the welding of such metals and using such techniques.

Weld inspectors must be AWS, or ISO certified.

The manufacturer shall submit the following, within one week of contract award, for XT review and approval:

o ITPs, weld procedures and welder qualification records. o Name of the person responsible for the inspection and testing. o Name of the person responsible for the implementation of the manufacturers

    Quality Assurance program.

o Qualification papers for all welding and non destructive examination personnel. 3.2 PMA-XT-SP0010 Rev 0 - Packing and Loading Requirements

As materials are to be painted, care must be taken, during the packing, so that the transportation, offloading and storage, do not damage the protective coatings.

The Handrails, Kickboards and Stanchions are to be painted after hot dipped galvanizing and must be packed with carpet , conveyor belting or similar to minimize damage.

The Contractor is to prepare a detailed packing list, detailing all the equipment being shipped.

The required Craneage, Forklifts, plus Labour including Riggers and Dogmen etc to load all this equipment is to be supplied by the Contractor.

Transport will be provided by others and load securing and restraints, once equipment is loaded will be the responsibility of others.

3.3 PMA-XT-SP0012 Rev 0 - Surface Preparation And Protective Coating Requirements

    No deviations to this specification.

    3.4 PMA-XT-SP0013 Rev 2 - Approved Protective Coating Systems

All grating, handrails, kickboards and stanchions must be galvanized according to ASTM A123-09.

After galvanizing, all handrails, kickboards, and stanchions shall be painted to System 8, AS2700-Y14 Golden Yellow (RAL1004-Golden Yellow).

All structural steel is to be painted according to System 16, AS2700-N52 Mid Grey (RAL7005- Mouse Grey).
