library• Circ desk -- desk where you check out

items by• Renew -- act used to keep items longer• Fines -- money you must pay if you fail
to return or renew items by the stamped due date• Reference -- dept where you receive help with your library questions.

LIBRARY TOUR
• The library is divided into three areas.
• First floor – public services, circulation/ reference desks, reference collection, computer labs, current periodicals, microforms, newspapers & new books room.
• In general, this is a high-traffic area and not conducive to concentrated study.

Computer Labs (2) with 8 and 24 PC’sAnd a multi-media projector.
As an ONU student, you receive $30.00 in free printing each academic year.
Each time you log into the university network and print, money is deducted.
If you use more than $30.00, the number will simply go to the negative and the amount will be charged to your university account by the end of the year.
Printing at the Library
Saving documents, etc
• Must log-in each time you want to use the catalogs in the library with your user name and password
• You may save documents to a jump drive or the H: drive
LIBRARY TOUR
• Second floor – Classrooms, Communication Skills Center, older periodicals, open study tables, group study carrels, 1-2 person study carrels.
• The second floor is meant for studying and periodicals use.

• This is probably the quietest part of the library.

Catalogs – for locating books, maps, musical scores, govt. documents, etc.
Databases – usually for locating periodical and newspaperarticles, but may cover other materials as well
