Every customised option requires a process of design and engineering. These come at an increased cost, but can also provide an array of advantages for your project.

To make a customised bathroom pod a viable option a requirement of around 50 units is ideal. For maximum e�ciency, research suggests an order greater than 100.

LH / RH variations come under the same type; however a change in size or shape is considered a new type.

Standardising components helps to increase cost e�ciency in the manufacturing process. Common examples include shower screens, strip drains, walls, and joinery.

It is important to reduce the number of drainage points, as a greater number of penetrations in the �oor plate increases the risk o� �ooring inaccuracies and installation errors onsite.

The maximum size of a bathroom pod is 2.3m x 3m. Consider minimising the number of walls; ideally 4, although 6 is not uncommon.

Generally not �re rated, bathroom pods rely on separately constructed walls to achieve the required ratings.

Plumbing, electrical, waste and ventilation connections are generally included in the �nal product. Fire services should be �tted by other trades to avoid compliance issues.
