LADY IN MY LIFEBY: KARRIEMAH DUNCANWith all the pain and struggle the she hadI still can’t see how she smiling and grinning but not madHer heart is like steel concreteShe is so strong and that’s one of her morals that she will always keepWith all these so-called role models in the spotlightAint it something to have one everyday in your lifeShe tells me to look at her, you have nothing to complain about When sometimes she had nothing to put in her mouthSmile, smile your life is greatStay a child as long as you can, you can always waitShe would give life for the three of us And for that my love for her is a must When you disrespect your mom all the timeThat truly is a crime When I disappoint you I know you hateBut like Tupac said you are appreciated

“Me against the world” by Karriemah Duncan is about how the world is changing and how we need to change so that we can be a better place. This poem is using a,b rhyme scheme, it also includes allusion for example “Don’t sell yourself cheap” which is from Tupac Me Against the world.

“I Cry”By: TUPAC

Sometimes when I'm aloneI Cry,Cause I am on my own.The tears I cry are bitter and warm. They flow with life but take no formI Cry because my heart is torn.I find it difficult to carry on.If I had an ear to confide in,I would cry among my treasured friend, but who do you know that stops that long,to help another carry on.The world moves fast and it would rather pass by.Then to stop and see what makes one cry,so painful and sad.

And sometimes...

I Cry

and no one cares about why.

“I Cry”Paragraph

The poem “I Cry” by Tupac is saying that sometimes he feels alone and just need to cry. Also I think he is saying that the world is so centered that no one really take the time to notice other peoples feelings and their hurt. Rarely people ever reach out to us. Sometimes you have to lend your own shoulder. When no one is there you have yourself.

“I Am Yours And You Are Mine”

BY: Melissa Weaver

As I sit here and daydreamOf the first day we metI can still see your eyes gleamAnd I feel as if I won a betYou’re mine to keepFor now and forever.

I love you with all my heart,Our love is so deepIt’s as if we are a piece of art So I’m yours and you are mine.’

“I Am Yours And You Are Mine”

Paragraph

“I am yours and you are mine” by Melissa Weaver is about showing appreciation to the one you love. As well as how much you love one another. I the poem uses a metaphor in verse 9 where it says It’s as if we are a piece of art. It also uses imagery in verses 3 where it says I can still see your eyes gleam. Over all always tell the one you love how much you love them.
