DESCRIPTION
This set of case studies covers some of the exciting and highly effective point-of-sale integrated mobile coupon and voucher campaigns that have been run using wiGroup's technology. wiPlatform is an open and inter-operable mobile transaction platform that sits across retailers' points-of-sale systems. Retailers only have to integrate once to be able to accept any mobile transaction or currency types that plug into the other side of wiPlatform. wiPlatform contains an advanced couponing engine which enables retailers, brands and agencies to run camapigns and strategies to directly drive sales. wiPlatform delivers real time tracking and reporting and enables tracking of marketing spend from 'first touch' to till point. SMS Shortcode was used to reward all customers with a free tot of Tanqueray when they spent R100 or more in any Col’Cacchio store.

The campaign integrated a Facebook app and mobile vouchers with print and TV advertising, in-store activations andon-pack printing. Vouchers were sent directly to customer’s cellphones via SMS and could be redeemed in any Shoprite, Checkers or Pick n Pay.

People visit the Drive Dry website which is linked to the Facebook page. They can declare whether they are drinking and not driving, or driving and not drinking to their own personal events, or other public events listed on the site. Voucher rewards, across multiple retailers, are given at random in order to spread the word and encourage people to make more declarations.
The campaign was designed to create awareness through social platforms and voucher rewards for declarations.
