    Nothing is more important at OSG than the health and the safety of the shore-based and shipboardpersonnel as well as the sanctity of the environment in which we operate.

    The success of the Companys policies in the areas of Health, Safety, Quality, Environment

    protection and Security is achieved through our HSQE Management System and Security Plan. Theyare designed to continuously evolve and improve through a documented change managementprocess and have the following objectives:

    Communicate to all employees that the safety of human life and the protection of theenvironment are our primary concerns.

    Provide a safe and healthy workplace, striving to prevent injuries and illnesses, promotinghighest safety standards and healthy lifestyles. We will also ensure that our employees,contractors and guest have the appropriate awareness, skills and knowledge to carry out thispolicy.

    Endeavor to provide our customers with flawless service in an environmentally safe andefficient manner.

    Provide all employees with the resources necessary to effectively implement the Companyspolicy.

    Adhere to all local, national and international rules and regulations governing the MarineIndustry.

    Ensure all procedures within this policy are communicated, understood, implemented andmaintained by all shore-based and shipboard personnel.

    Continually review and improve the system against industry best practices, stated proceduresand objectives, audit results, corrective and preventive actions records, and managementreviews.

    Provide vessel personnel with the resources necessary to ensure the security of the crew,environment, cargo and vessel.

    Ensure all employees have the appropriate training, the required skills and experience

    necessary to safely and effectively do their jobs. Establish and communicate measurable & consistent goals and performance targets for

    company employees.

    Provide all shipboard and shore side personnel a risk free method of communicating wrongdoings ashore or at sea.

    Provide a work place free of racial, sexual or religious discrimination.

    Provide a work place where harassment or bullying is not tolerated.

    Comply with the companys drug and alcohol program aboard all OSG vessels.

    Communicate to all personnel that the importance of meeting the customers requirementsshould not jeopardize the safety of the crew, environment or vessel.

    Assure that complacency never becomes a factor with our shore-based and shipboardpersonnel.

    The Companys Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) Management System andSecurity Plan have been designed to fulfill the requirements of the International MaritimeOrganization's ISM Code for the "Safe Operation of Ships and Pollution Prevention", the ISPS Code,the ISO 9001 and the ISO 14001 Standards and the Companys own internal requirements regardingconduct and ethics practiced on board our vessels and in the offices.
