Inundation areas were dervied from three different earthquake scenarios, the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) Scenario 1A, the Cascadia Subduction Zone Scenario 1A with Asperity, and the Seattle Fault Zone Scenario for Pacific, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Clallam, Island, King, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties, Washington . The scale of the tsunami inundation areas are 1:100,000 for both Cascadia Subduction Zone scenarios and 1:50,000 for the Seattle Fault Zone scenario. Tsunami Inundation areas are solely derived from the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) Scenario 1A. (June 2010) Tsnuami Inundation Hazard Areas are made cheifly for emergency management and mitigation planning purposes and secondarily for land use planning.
