Quality and Flexibility of IT Projects for
World Leaders
Developing custom software is a big challenge. Even more complex is to keep the project always open to the changes
required by the business without affecting its quality and stability. We aim here to show a little of what we have done in our 15 years of life, reached in 2019; our main clients; how our projects are carried out; what types of solutions we provide and numbers achieved. H2W Systems
H2W Systems was formed in 2004 to meet the needs of large companies for complementary software and solutions for those available in ERP's. Since then, we have developed projects with much lower costs and deadlines than those performed in ERP's and with excellent levels of quality and stability.
Soon after, H2W began to develop more complex solutions involving software and hardware on different platforms for various areas and purposes. H2W's projects are developed using the combined customer and H2W team experience to form a solution that fully meets the project's needs and the company's business standards.
At H2W it is not the customer who has to adapt to the software. The software always adapts to the customer. And as needed, changes can be made to meet new requirements. Through the methodologies used, H2W has a great level of compliance with deadlines and costs, always keeping the project within the initial estimates.

Production and Industrial Performance - Performance Management and Production Efficiency
Performance Management and Production Efficiency
Reliable generation of indicators such as OEE, Operational Utilization, Downtimes, MTBF and MTTR are critical to
improving the efficiency of production lines and equipment. H2W has already developed several projects for this purpose, always created from the needs, calculations and workflow of each client.
The generation and management of industrial production and performance indicators have been the target of many of H2W's projects. These projects have made H2W increasingly specialized in this segment. Director José Manuel's entry into H2W has brought H2W enormous know-how in the area of industrial automation and data capture from production equipment, a key task for the majority of these projects. In 2017, the CEO of H2W, Jonas de Souza, completed his master's dissertation with the focus of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) - A study of the association between OEE and other indicators of productive activity. This work allows H2W to have a clearer and more complete view of the division of productive times, productivity indicators and the relationship between these indicators. In these projects H2W has already included features such as:
Reports, dashboards, hoshins and graphs with real
time information and historical analysis.
Data capture from production equipment through
PLC's or other equipment.
Results showed by operator, shift, leader, machine,
product, production order, which enable complete
efficiency tracking.
Reports generated and sent automatically by email.
Interfaces with SAP, Totvs, Factory Talk and other
systems.
Forms, calculations and reports are tailored to each
client and project.
OEE Improvement Effects
Improving the efficiency of a production line is directly
related to the reduction of the final product cost. Below
we simulate the cost per product in the same production
line, initially with 40% OEE and later reaching a 60%
OEE:
Maximum Line Cadence (pieces / minute) 100
Raw Material Cost ($ / unit produced) $ 0.20
Machine Cost ($ / minute) $ 5.00
Worked Minutes - 1 month (minutes) 43,200
OEE in 40% - Cost per Product ($) $ 0.33
OEE in 60% - Cost per Product ($) $ 0.28
An improvement in OEE from 40% to 60% generated
a 13% reduction in product cost.
In addition, with this increase in OEE it was possible to
produce 864k more products, a 50% increase in the
quantity produced.
This relationship leads OEE and other similar indicators
to be considered critical to many industries around the
world.
Research indicates that equipment and processes that
do not measure efficiency have a result close to 40%.
A 40% OEE means that the production process is only
operating at 40% maximum efficiency. Sixty percent of
resources and time are wasted on poor quality products
that are discarded, equipment and production lines
working slower than they could be, and time lost on
unscheduled downtime and breakdowns.

Human Resources and Training - Training Control
Training Management and E-learning for Employees and Third Parties. With a large amount of staff and training required for each position, it is difficult to manage required and pending
training for employees and third parties without a software for this purpose. The difficulty increases with the constant changing of positions, occupations and functions.
H2W training control software dynamically assigns required training to employees according to configured parameters. These parameters are usually related to employee roles, work areas and positions occupied. When a new user is added to the system or when a user has their registration changed, the system automatically changes the training required for that user, without losing the history of the training already performed by them. For each training performed, the system allows the organization of dates and places, vacancies, certifying entities, costs, instructors, attendance lists and didactic material. Upon completion of the training, the instructor records attendance, assessment results, approvals and comments for each student directly in the system. If necessary, it stores the files that verify the training and any other necessary files. The system also allows the realization of online training and tests, acting as a comprehensive e-learning system. For certain training, instructors provide teaching materials and create tests for the system. These tests are done by users without the need for intervention from HR or leaders. Listed below are other features:
Schedule of planned trainings by month, week and day.
Control compliance by training, user, team, area,
among many other possibilities.
Control of certifying entities and certificates issued by
student.
Evaluation of training and instructor quality by
students.
Reports grouped by person, training, department,
leader, position, cost, absences, approvals, etc.

Work Safety - Third Party and Temporary Control
Third Party and Temporary – Document Control, Work Permits, Integrations and Training.
This project developed by H2W allows the centralization of information, documents and processes necessary for the
management of outsourced and temporary employees, from the lobby and control of integrations to the permit to work (PTW) form.
The flow of this software begins with the registration of third party companies. For each company, assessments are periodically conducted where questions arise to define the company's approval or disapproval as a supplier. Subsequently, the employees of each company are registered. At this time, information is recorded, such as function, initial exam due date, integration validity, or the date this employee can perform the integration. Employees also undergo individual evaluations, whose bad result may block their entry. The training and expiration dates of each third party are also recorded, including items such as mandatory trainings, forklift, munk, fire brigade, etc. This module is used by the lobby for entry clearance of all third parties and temporary employees. The system also allows control of entries on weekends. Listed below are other features of this module:
Reports that allow the viewing of backlogs of each
company and employee.
Client autonomy to configure the system through the
registration of new training, activities, functions,
evaluation questions, etc.
The storing of documentation and information
necessary for the management of third parties.
Issues such as a poor employee or company evaluation
are monitored through action plans.
Permit to Work (PTW) forms are created and
approved in the system, which validates employee
documentation and training to perform the work in a
safe manner.

Logistics - Control of Trucks on Site
Yard Management System – Yard Control, Scheduling and Dock Management
This customized software allows the control of trucks and transport vehicles during the time they are inside the
company yard for shipping or picking up cargo. Control includes several steps such as freight scheduling, weighing, loading and unloading.
The process starts with the scheduling of freights previewed per day, according to the calendar shown in the adjacent image. When the shipment arrives at the company, a movement record is created and the system generates a barcode card that will be used at all stages of the process. The truck is weighed on the entrance scale and the value is checked with the invoice. The weight of the scale is automatically captured by the system and the invoice is imported into the system through the xml file. In the next step, the truck is sent to a parking lot, where there are checklists for vehicle, cargo, documentation and accessories. In the driver's history it´s possible to check the scores obtained on the previous freight. If meet all checklist requirements, the vehicle is sent to one of the docks. Arriving at the docks, there is another checklist and then the loading or unloading process is performed. Once the process is over, the vehicle leaves the dock and is again weighed on the exit scale. The whole process has several controls, approvals and validations. The system generates various indicators in real time. Below are some of the reports and features developed in this module:
• Average occupancy of vehicles;
• Percent of trips by carrier;
• Level of respect for schedules;
• Level of respect for release priority;
• Service level by carrier;
• Level of respect for receiving grid;
• Level of respect for expedition grid;

Logistics - Cargo Plan
Cargo Plan – Optimization for the Palletizing of Products and Organization of Pallets in Transport
Software that optimizes pallet, truck and container utilization by calculating the best pallet to use according to the
dimensions of the product and the best vehicle of transport according to the pallets, load weight and freight costs.
This module was developed in order to facilitate and reduce the time required to perform the load plan calculation. The system captures data from ERP for calculations. At first, the system calculates the best pallet according to the product dimensions, considering boxes and bobbins. For coils, the system calculates the coil diameter, considering linear meters and weight. At this time, the system considers possible pallet restrictions by client or product and has several rules to optimize the organization of products on pallets and to consume the smallest space possible during transport. All guidelines were created according to the client's requirements and working method. The system is made available to the production operators, showing the scheme of coil organization on the pallet according to the calculation performed, as shown in the adjacent image. After defining which pallets to use, the system shows the best transport, considering the lowest cost required to send the volume to the determined destination. Once you have defined the form of transport, truck, container, and available size, the system displays the scheme of how pallets should be allocated for transport, optimizing space. Below are some features of this module:
Load plan generated quickly and automatically with
data captured from the ERP.
Optimization of pallet spaces, calculating the best
pallet and arrangement for each case.
Optimization of spaces for transportation, calculating

ProMOS® Software - Industrial Production and Performance
ProMOS® - Monitoring and Control of the Main Shop Floor Activities
In 2013, with many years of experience, H2W created its first product,
ProMOS. This software concentrates several modules for shop floor management, including Production and Performance, Corrective and Preventive Maintenance, Information Organization and Workplace
Safety.
Launched at the Fispal 2013 Fair, ProMOS was introduced on a machine that simulated a very simple production line. The software was connected to the machine through the H2W Data Collector, capturing real-time production and displaying the indicators on a software-connected TV. This approach, shown in the figure below, showed the solution's ability to obtain production data from any type of equipment or production line, regardless of size, complexity or PLC's. The system allows data to be captured even for equipment that doesn’t have PLC´s.
Figure 1. How data is captured from equipment
The production module uses the calculation of production times, OEE and other indicators all following world standards. These world standards are based on the research conducted for the master's dissertation, completed in 2017 by Jonas de Souza, CEO of H2W Systems. The software monitors the 1440 minutes for each piece of equipment per day, providing a complete view of time divisions and production histories. Each operator records their production for each work shift, on each production order and views their results in real time. Reports with online and historical data allow a clear comparison between different operators, machines, shifts, scales, leaders and many other factors.

ProMOS® - Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
ProMOS® - Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
ProMOS maintenance modules allow the company to control corrective
and preventive maintenance. Corrections are registered as
maintenance labels and can be corrected independently by the machine operator or by the responsible technician. The Preventive Maintenance Module allows for the creation of routine operations such as inspections, cleaning and lubrication.
Corrective Maintenance - Labels This module allows the organization of maintenance labels, created using the TPM methodology of industrial management. By methodology, labels should be affixed to the problem location. With ProMOS, these labels are registered directly in the system, allowing control of open and resolved labels by time, machine, type, operator, defect type and many other options.
Preventive Maintenance ProMOS preventive maintenance module controls recurring operations in all areas of the company. The tasks are classified in inspection, cleaning and lubrication and they are performed at predefined frequencies. The system allows the creation of inspection routes. These routes could be dynamically assigned to inspectors. Through the various reports you can get the list of tasks performed and percentage of compliance. Below are other features of these modules:
Inspections made directly on smartphones or tablets.
Compliance reports by month, week, area/production
line and inspector.
Inclusion of files and tutorials to help the completion
of the operation.
Relationship with corrective maintenance module to

ProMOS® - Workplace Safety
ProMOS® - Workplace Safety
Workplace safety is a priority in many companies, however, obtaining
the information can consume much of the Work Safety team's time. This ProMOS module allows each employee to record their safety observations directly in the system, leaving the Occupational Safety
team the necessary analysis and actions.
Safety Observations Safety observations are forms used to verify unsafe locations and acts that could generate an accident. They allow verification of failures such as the occurrence of unsafe behavior, the use of PPE, the occurrence of unsafe acts by employees and third parties and the existence of unsafe working conditions. With this module, the task of recording observations is assigned to all employees of the company and not only to the work safety team. Employees can record an observation of something occurring in compliance with the company rules or out of compliance (OK and NOK records). These records can be viewed immediately by the occupational safety team and throughout the company, using the various reports in the system. Reports can be filtered by time period, place of occurrence, issuing employee, observed employee's home company, category, behavior, etc. Reports display the records grouped by category, behavior, and issuing user; displaying the number of congratulatory and observation records to improve.
Accidents
ProMOS also has the possibility to record the accidents occurred in the company, storing date and time, place of occurrence, company, injured employee, severity, category, description of the accident, etc.

ProMOS® - Logbook
Logbook, Library and Action Plan a
ProMOS contains several modules for the organization of industrial
information. The logbook replaces the usually handwritten book kept
close to production lines and equipment. The library module allows the organization of the files needed by the company and the organization of the action plans issued of any kind.
Logbook Replacing the paper logbook with the existing one in ProMOS has several advantages, including the ease of searching for information and creating comments. The system allows the generation of reports by period, type, plant, unit, line/area, sender, shift, icon used, keyword, etc. In this system, information of various kinds are recorded, such as records of fault and occurrences, difficulties encountered, adjustments made to equipment, solutions used, special inspections performed, cleanings, communication, etc. In many companies, production line operators may have a few days off, depending on their work schedule. With this, it becomes essential that, in their return, the operator has access to the occurrences recorded in the production line during this abscence. ProMOS® - Library Library
The ProMOS Library Module aims to organize files that are often used in the production environment. Manuals, one-point lessons, standards, reports, and many other types of files. The great advantage of this module is the organization and categorization of these files by module, cell, area, production line, type, author, keywords, description, etc. This organization makes searching for files easier and faster. ProMOS® - Action Plan Action Plan
This module allows the registration and organization of action plans from different sources to be consolidated into one place. These action plans are created for various categories related to projects, safety, maintenance, accidents, etc. Plans are recorded directly for their supervisors or leaders, with information related to location, scale, shift, type, and expected date of completion. Through the action plan report, it´s possible to check the plans of each type, area and user and see the status of each pending.
