The Bernauer Foundation About Us The Bernauer Foundation has served underprivileged peoples in Central America for over a decade. What began as a traditional mission trip for founder Dr. Robert Dale Bernauer soon blossomed into over ten medical mission trips to countries such as Nicaragua. It was during these trips that he witnessed the plight of those suffering from a lack of access to healthcare firsthand. With humble beginnings Dr. Bernauer courageously took it upon himself to bring medical care to these unreached and underdeveloped countries. His vision began with the funding of many of the trips and provision of hip and knee

A family affair, the Bernauer Foundation was passed on to Dr. Bernauer Jr., upon the retirement of his father and is transitioning from a surgically focused organization to one that would provide complete healthcare to those in Central America and beyond. The Bernhauer Foundation is propelled by an entirely volunteer driven momentum and dedicates all donations to the care and well-being of patients. The tax exempt charity relies heavily on the investment of caring, dedicated individuals to continue a legacy of supporting those overlooked by many and looks forward to the new model, which they hope will ensure healthy generations to come.
