Program/Tools: Photoshop, masks, brush tools, lasso tool, opacity
Objectives: Learn Photoshop skills such as layers, masks, blending
and filters.
Process: This project was created using a layer mask to blend
images, making sure there were no hard edges. I used
masks, the brush tool, lasso tool, changed the opacity
in several areas using the brush tool and changed the
opacity and the fill on the text. I used complementary
colors to create contrast. I also created contrast with the
colors of the earth. I used Christ’s face as a focal point. In
my font, I used different sizes and italic vs regular to also
create contrast. The text is also aligned all to the left and
then again to to the tip of the earth.

Jason Stucki
Program/Tools: Adobe InDesign
Objective:
Learn to create a flier, use InDesign, and use negative
space.
Process:
This project started out by sketching designs and created
in Adobe InDesign. I used negative space to create con-
trast with the dark black diamonds. I also used repetition
with my diamonds in order to create unity. In my title I
used white on black to emphasize the word graduate and
used gray for leadership conference. I wanted that to be
the focal point. In order to really emphasize the graduat-
ing part I added a tassel to my diamond to make it look
like a graduation cap. I left aligned everything and then
on the title and time, date, place I used tracking to line
them up. I also used alignment with almost everything.
