Welcome New POST Staff Member

Please join us in welcoming the newest POST staff member, Amanda Socha. Amanda

recently joined the POST team and will be assisting with administration processes

and procedures. Amanda hails from Roseville, CA, holds a B.A. in Business Admin-

istration, and brings to her position at POST a wealth of marketing and business ex-

perience.

2015 Annual Compliance

It is that time again for an officer’s annual compliance training to be completed. All reporting of annual compliance for 2015 should be submitted to POST by December 31, 2015. Every year as a requirement to maintain basic certification, an officer must demonstrate proficiency in the five required critical skills plus 12 hours of agency training (or have a valid excuse as indicated by the pull-down selection in the Formatta Form). The initial compliance reports have been run and sent via email to the agency single-point-of-contact providing the current status of any officer in their agency that shows out of compliance. Agencies that are submitting spreadsheets for import should send them to Shirley Micallef at smicallef@post.state.nv.us.

Updated SPOC Training Now on the Home Page

The Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) training that was introduced last May has been

updated. Also, it can now be easily accessed from our Home page as the last choice

under “Popular Links”. This PowerPoint presentation shows SPOCs step-by-step in-

structions for using Snapshot to view an agency’s officer information and how to use

and enter information into the various Formatta forms.

PLEASE use the Updated Forms on the POST website

Two forms used during the basic certification process have been updated and are

available for your immediate use from the “Forms” page of the POST website. Please

make sure to use the updated versions of the forms “Physical Fitness Test Score

Card” and “Request For POST State Certification Examination”. You will find that

both of these forms have been enhanced for usability and to help ensure that every

form submitted has complete and correct information.
