articles of clothing for the personal use of the addressee and do not weigh more than 5 kg.

Customs Declarations Parcel Despatch Note.
One customs declaration may be used for any number of ordinary parcels posted
simultaneously from one sender to one addressee. The total number and the total value of
the parcels forming a consignment should be shown on the customs declaration. In addition
the sender should number the parcels consecutively and should indicate on each parcel the
number of parcels forming the consignment. For instance if the consignment consists of three
parcels, the parcels should be numbered 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 respectively.
Prohibitions1 Articles that are obscene, indecent, immoral or scurrilous, Any information relating to
bookmaking, pool-setting, betting or waging, Articles relating to unlawful lottery schemes Any
articles relating to schemes to deceive or defraud the public; Articles or special messages
sent to any person with the intention to obtain money under false; Celluloid, liquid celluloid
and inflammable films, compressed gases, corrosive liquids, explosive substances,
inflammable liquids or solids (i.e.. matches), oxidizing substances, radioactive substances;
Live animals; Plants, plant parts and soil; Intoxicating beverages; Narcotics; Any article
emitting an offensive or noxious odour.
Replica or inert munitions, as well as other devices that simulate explosive devices or
munitions, including replica or inert grenades or other simulated military munitions, whether or
not such items are for display purposes.
Liquids, oils, fatty substances, fish game, meat, fresh fruit, vegetables and other perishable
items that are not prepared for mailing as specified in the section on PACKAGING AND

MAKE-UP.
Human or animal blood unless packed in accordance with the conditions and requirements
specified under the section on PACKAGING AND MAKE-UP.
Gold bullion, gold dust and non-manufactured precious metals unless mailed under an
agreement between the Canada Post Corporation and the sender.
Travel documents such as passports and visas.
Restrictions1 Non-flammable or "safety" films may be mailed if packed in containers approved by Canada
Post Corporation
Importation of medicines and drugs (including natural health products) is subject to Canada’s
Food and Drugs Act and its Regulations.
Invoices Certified invoices in triplicate in the form prescribed by the Canadian Customs authorities
must be submitted to those authorities by the addressee for parcels containing merchandise
valued at 50 Canadian dollars or more. Ordinary Commercial invoices are suitable for
Commercial parcels valued at less than 50 Canadian dollars.
Gifts Gifts received in Canada by mail that are valued under 60 Canadian dollars will be duty and
excise exempt. Advertising matter, tobacco and alcoholic beverages are prohibited from
inclusion in gift packets. Each packet should bear the word "Unsolicited Gift". This concession
does not apply to parcels forwarded direct from stores or other concerns and bearing the
name of the store or other concern.
Bequests In the case of articles acquired by residents of Canada under bequests or under any special
circumstances, the senders or donors are advised to consult the office of the High
Commissioner for Canada, if they are in doubt as to the proper customs procedure to be
followed in any particular case.
Yukon Territory During the winter season (approximately October to May inclusive) parcels can be sent only
to Carcross, Champagne and White Horse. Parcels for other places may be addressed to
White Horse and the addressees may make the necessary arrangements for their
transmission thence.
Postal Imports Remission
Order
The exemption level under the Postal Imports Remission Order is 20 Canadian dollars. Most
goods imported into Canada by mail that are valued under 20 Canadian dollars will be duty
and excise tax exempt. Those over 20 Canadian dollars will be subject to the applicable
duties and excise.
For all casual and commercial items valued under 1200 Canadian dollars, Canada Post will
be required to collect the assessed duties and excise taxes from the addressee prior to
releasing the parcel:
upon review by Canada Customs and Excise, the assessed duties and excise
taxes will be itemised on a Customs Postal Import Form affixed to the parcel by
Canada Post Corporation;
this assessment will include a handling fee of five Canadian dollars to cover costs
associated with collecting the duties and taxes. In the case of EMS items, the
handling fee will be eight Canadian dollars.
Parcels released from Canada Customs and Excise under the Postal Imports Remission
Order or Gift Exemptions, or parcels which are deemed duty and excise tax free, will not be
subject to a handling fee. All commercial mail items valued over 1200 Canadian dollars will be

held by Canada Customs and Excise until proper invoice and accounting documentation is
provided by the addressee.

Invoices A commercial invoice, containing a declaration of origin of the goods must accompany every
commercial parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time by one sender to the
same addressee.
Customs Duty Photographs or unexpected films are subject to customs duty.
Gift Parcels Gifts are subject to customs duties and other charges in the same way as ordinary
commercial consignments. For parcels up to 100 U.S. dollars in value payment of the
surcharges mentioned above may be waived.
Packing Parcels should be very strongly packed.
Delivery Parcels are not delivered to the place of address. Addressees are notified of their arrival and
have to collect them from the Post Office after the necessary import and other regulations
have been complied with.
An SMS notification of item arrival will be sent to addressees of small packets, parcels and
EMS items bearing valid mobile phone number.

Domestic Air Transport
Restrictions
Items containing powders, liquids, lithium batteries or lithium cells are prohibited for carriage
by domestic air transport within the People's Republic of China. Ground transport will be used
to forward these items to their next destination, thus affecting their processing and delivery
times.
There will be no liability for the delayed delivery of such items.
Packing Parcels should be very strongly packed either in stout cloth or carton boxes. Advertisements,
designs, and wordings appearing on carton boxes that are used for packing should be
obliterated, and wrapped in brown paper which should be securely fastened with gummed
tape and string.
Senders are advised to ascertain from the addressees before posting a parcel that the
contents do not violate any restrictions or prohibitions imposed by the Chinese Postal
Authorities.
Address Senders are advised to enclose in the parcel a slip bearing the name and address of the
sender and of the addressee. The full expression "The People's Republic of China" must be
used on the parcel and documents; otherwise the item may be returned.

required to register the transaction in the Office of Exchange Registration, in which event
evidence of registration may have to be produced by the exporter when applying for a
consular invoice.

Items inherited abroad as well as articles provided for in contracts concluded
between States may be freely imported in accordance with such contracts.
Items addressed to individuals which do not exceeds US$100 in total, are
exempted from customs duty provided the goods are for the importer's own
domestic use and are not intended for sale or business. Items the total equivalent
value of which exceeds US$100 in total must pay customs duty.
Natural persons of Croatian nationality exercising a profession are entitled to
import articles for use in that profession (equipment, reproduction material and
spare parts); importation will be subject to special conditions.
Senders posting the above items must provide proof of the addressee's entitlement on the
customs form to import such items. If such proof is not available, the addressee will be
required to produce such proof before delivery.

certificate authenticated by an authorised agent in that country. Czech Republic Customs
decides the value of the contents on the basis of internal prices of identical articles.
Philately articles and stamps exchanged between member philatelists must not exceed 1000
Czech Republic crowns in any calendar year. Gift packages containing philatelic articles are
restricted to 3 per year and the shipment cannot exceed a total of 100 stamps or philatelic
articles and 100 Czech Republic crown in value.
Customs Duty Articles imported in postal items are exempt from customs duties if their total value does not
exceed 300 Czech Republic crowns.
Import Permits and Invoices Import permits are required for gift parcels exceeding three per year for one addressee, or for
any parcel exceeding 3,000 Czech Republic crowns in value. Permits may be issued to
addressees or withheld at the discretion of the customs authorities after the parcels arrive.
