The words ‘new home are able to connote that it is likely that someone new is entering the show, and going to become a neighbour of the characters in the photo. It also could suggest that a new season of the show is going to air soon.

The title at the bottom right is able to inform the reader what show this poster is advertising, in case there are any new potential audiences looking at the poster. Also there is at time that the soap is shown underneath the title, informing the audience the time the show is shown on TV, making sure that they do not miss it by accident.

Main image –This image is able to show the different relationships between each of the characters in the show, allowing the audience to grasp and understand what the different characters mean to each other. On top of that the picture is able to show a sense of community between these characters, also the fact that people of different ages are shown in the picture shows that these ‘neighbours’ are one big family, appealing to a audience that values family life highly. As well as that there is a kangaroo at the bottom of the picture, making sure that the audience understands that the soap is set in Australia, even without them having to speak.

The tagline is able to connote that something big is going to happen to the characters in the show in the next week, potentially changing the way certain/ all characters are represented in the show permanently. This is able to attract the audience to watch the show in the next week as it gives the audience an impression that these episodes coming up are big and cannot be missed.

Date -Able to inform the audience when to expect these new episodes to come out. Allowing them to expect the episodes release.

Main image –In this image, all of the characters appear to be on fire or have become part of the flames. This is able to connote that the these characters shown are going to do something dangerous, which could result in the being ‘burned’ (backfired). Also it could connote that these characters are angry or enraged but something that is going to happen in the show as a result of flames being seen as destructive and somewhat unpredictable. Also This image could connote that something beautiful but dangerous had entered and affected the lives of these 5 characters, this could be a new character being introduced to ‘Hollyoaks’ or an event that happened in the show.

At the bottom of the page, on the left, there is text saying ‘Brand New Soap’ informing the audience that this is a new soap opera. Also there is at time that the soap is shown underneath this text, which informs the audience the time the show is shown on TV, making sure that they do not miss it by accident.

Social Networking Links –These links are able to give the audience a method to find out more about the soap, ask any questions or comment about what they thought of the show

Reviews–These are able to inform the audience what others think of the soap opera, as they are unable to ask anyone else about the soap as it is brand new. So in order to making tit feeling like watching this soap is worth their time, these reviews are able to encourage them to give it a shot.

This text ‘everyone ‘s watching’ is able to connote that this soap is about people that are consistently suspicious of each other, and always keeping a eye on what other characters are doing. This is supported by the main image of the eyes in the centre of the poster.

A Hash tag was also used by the twitter logo, encouraging people to use the Hash Tag on twitter, in order to show their interest in the show and to encourage those that follow them to have a look at the show as well

‘Repeat’ (Steve Neale, 1980) For my poster, I intend to ‘repeat’ (Steve Neale, 1980) the idea of putting the institution logo on the poster, in order to inform the audience of where to find the new soap, as well as a date and time that the TV show will be on TV, making sure that the audience knows when the show is on and doesn’t miss an episode by accident. Also I intend to ‘repeat’ (Steve Neale, 1980) the reviews that have been put at the top of the third poster. This is because The soap I am creating is new, so the audience won’t be able to ask for peoples options on the soap to see if it is worth watching, so the reviews give the audience an idea of what different corporations or magazines they may have heard of think about the new soap, giving them an idea of whether they want to watch the soap or not. I also want to ‘repeat’ (Steve Neale, 1980) the social networking links that were shown on the third poster. This is able to give the audience a way to find out more about the soap, as well as comment on the show or ask questions. On top of that I intend to ‘repeat’ (Steve Neale, 1980) the use of the main image used in poster 1. By doing this I will be able to tell the audience what the relationship between each characters is, give the audience an idea on the type of location the soap is being based at, as well as setting the mood for the entire soap opera (cloudy weather to connote the feeling of being unsure and confused, everything is hidden)
