Page 3: Powerpointosman

First, we drew turtles with liquid glue

Page 4: Powerpointosman

Next, we coloured it in with chalk pastels.

Page 5: Powerpointosman

Then, we smudged the chalk pastels and made gradations on the blue colour of the sea.

We also drew turtles with oil pastels and…

Page 10: Powerpointosman

we coloured the background with watercolours.

Page 11: Powerpointosman

We also made some turtles with volume: we stuffed rubbish bags with paper, we …

Page 12: Powerpointosman

put on “paper maché” and we painted it with white

Page 13: Powerpointosman

In order to fix better the final colours.

Page 14: Powerpointosman

The little ones made some turtles with nuts and yoghurts.

Page 15: Powerpointosman

and they also decorated a turtle with their photographs inside.

Related to Turkish culture, we worked on Henna designs on the hands

Page 17: Powerpointosman

First, the kids traced their hands on a black cardboard

Page 18: Powerpointosman

then, we looked at some desings of Henna hands,

and did them with a metallic pen.

Page 19: Powerpointosman

and here you go the results!

Page 20: Powerpointosman

We made some camels with brown cardboard and oil

pastels

Page 21: Powerpointosman

We also combined oil pastels for the camels and

markers for the carpet.

Page 22: Powerpointosman

On the background, we designed a “magic carpet”, also with oil pastels.

Page 23: Powerpointosman

We also represented mosques.

Page 24: Powerpointosman

We used metallic paint and foil for the domes.

Page 25: Powerpointosman

So, we made a “Turkish corner” in the hall of the school.

Page 26: Powerpointosman

And…of course we made the puzzle of the Hamdi´s Bey picture!
