Fossil fuels

• Coal is a Fossil fuel

• Gas and oil are also fossil fuels

• They release CO2 into the atmosphere

• These fuels were made millions of years ago in the ground

• They will eventually run out.

Wind

• Wind is a renewable energy source.

• This means that it will not run out

• A disadvantage is that the wind turbines have got to be in a windy landscape.

Solar panels

• They need to be in a sunny landscape to work correctly

• Disadvantages are that the United Kingdom is not a ideal place for solar panels
