Sophie qualified into the Litigation department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, before moving to the Employment department of Bates, Wells & Braithwaite, where she specialised in contentious and advisory employment work for individuals and charities and regularly appeared in the employment tribunal. Sophie was also a Visiting Research Fellow at the Fawcett Society in 2005 and co-authored a report on the reform of gender equality legislation. Sophie is head of Practical Law China.

Sara trained at Slaughter and May and qualified into the Tax group in 2001. She joined Practical Law in 2005 as an analyst writing on key market trends across all practice areas. In 2008, Sara helped launch Practical Law’s US services and then became head of Practical Law’s Cross-border service. Sara now leads Practical Law’s international subscription services, developing our international content and looking after the needs of our international customers.

Judith was a transactional lawyer in the property department of Allen & Overy for seven years, before becoming a professional support lawyer and a founding member of the London Professional Support Lawyers Group. In June 2000 she joined Practical Law to head up the Property service. Judith is now head of UK Practice Areas for Practical Law.

Heleen joined Practical Law in December 2009 and is Head of Practical Law EU. Heleen studied Private and International Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since then, she has worked as an in-house lawyer for the Rotterdam Port Authorities and as a knowledge management lawyer for several international law firms, including Nauta Dutilh and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Saira qualified as a solicitor in 1994 with Lovell White Durrant (now Hogan Lovells), where she specialised in commercial and insurance litigation and arbitration, with an emphasis on contractual disputes and professional negligence claims. In 2001, she became a professional support lawyer in the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration practice at Lovells. She joined Practical Law in May 2009 and is now head of Arbitration. She also sits as a Deputy District Judge (Civil) on the Midland Circuit in the UK.
