We confess and repent of having been shown grace and mercy, having not always shown grace and mercy to others.

We confess and repent of not always placing our trust God but rather in man.

We confess and repent of not seeking the Lord’s face

Bring about transformation by the power of the Gospel of Christ

Raise us up as an Army of truth Identifying and Developing Leaders

Give our General discernment and wisdom to identify leaders.

Give our General protection, strength, guidance, and peace.

Strengthen, protect our corps officers/social service directors – give them endurance for the long run.

Guard our leaders – may they dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

Protect our leaders from temptation.

Lord, raise up a new generation of wild, creative spirits contending with those of the Army’s past! (the Booths, Railton, Joe the Turk, Brengle, etc.)

May our officers have the wisdom to intentionally identify, develop, nurture, disciple and invest in potential leaders.

Increase Self-Support and Self-Denial

Guide our officers in raising self-support.

Give our officers persistence in raising self-support.

May every Salvationist be generous in their giving.

Give those responsible for distributing resources wisdom, compassion, and understanding.

Allow giving to become our first nature.

Let others see us as models in our giving and self-denial.

Give us creative fundraising ideas.

Provide for our officers in impoverished areas.

Freely we have received, so may we freely give.

We praise and thank you LORD for calling us to preach salvation to the poor.

We confess and repent of being “inside people” – not on the outside, reaching out and meeting people where they are. Instead, we’ve waited for them to come to us.

We confess and repent of being too busy meeting the physical needs of people and not focusing on their spiritual needs.

We confess and repent of losing our first Love. (Revelation 2:4)

We confess and repent of neglecting many opportunities around us.

We confess and repent of the times we have been distracted from our ministry.

We confess and repent of creating idols out of our duties.

We confess and repent of losing our sense of mission and vision.

We confess and repent of prioritizing our own will and comfort over the Lord’s will and calling.

Reach and Involve Youth and Children

We confess and repent of seeing children and young people as insignificant.

We confess and repent of only worrying about “having fun” – not emphasising the spiritual growth of our youth and children.

We confess and repent of failing to guard what has been entrusted to us.

We confess and repent of not having patience.

We confess and repent of being a hindrance to the children’s growth.

We confess and repent of being threatened by the zeal of the youth.

We confess and repent of creating restrictions around them.

We confess freedom and salvation for the children of the world – may every chain be broken!

Stand for and Serve the Marginalised

We confess and repent of failing to speak up and out for the oppressed.

We confess and repent of omitting evangelism from our social work.

We confess and repent of failing to stand for the marginalised in society.

We confess and repent of the times when we have turned people away.

We confess and repent of the times when we have offered to meet the needs of the symptoms and not tackled the root cause.

We confess and repent of the times when we have thought ourselves to be “better” than others.

We confess and repent of the times when we have walked away.

We confess and repent of our laziness, selfishness, and lack of understanding and time towards other people’s needs.

We confess and repent of the times we have not been compassionate to those in need.

We confess and repent of offering food as the answer instead of guiding them to the true answers so they can help themselves and know Christ as the true Bread of Life.

Encourage Innovation in Mission

We confess and repent of getting stuck in a routine.

We confess and repent of saying, “No, we can’t do that.”

We confess and repent of strangling and getting in the way of innovation.

We confess and repent of excommunicating innovators.

We confess and repent of missed opportunities to share the Gospel.

We confess and repent of being stagnant and not taking risks.

We confess and repent of not training officers to be creative.

We confess and repent of doing instead of being.

We confess and repent of trusting in programs, not people.

Discomfort us on behalf of those who are lost.

Restore in us our first Love. (Revelation 2:4)

Give us unity between the Church and Social Services.

Bless our Officers, who are carrying on the work of Your disciples.

Unite and strengthen officer couples and their marriages.

Bring the prodigals home, Lord, and make us ready to welcome them back with open arms!

We pray for unity and teamwork among corps, divisions, territories and zones.

We pray for creativity and innovation.

Raise up sacrificial people who are willing to fight against the injustices of the world.

Give Your strength, grace, and wisdom to the Officers in the fields. Reach and Involve Youth and Children

Send Your angels to protect and defend young people as they go to university.

Ignite a resurrection of faith in this generation.

Protect the children who are facing difficult situations and decisions – pull them out of sin!

May officers reach out and minister to their own children and families.

Bring a new generation to Christ!

Baptise the children with the Holy Spirit.

Move in parents’ lives who have dedicated their children to the Lord. Help them keep the promises they’ve made to You on behalf of their children.

Equip us as teachers and shepherds of the children.

Bless the children of officers around the world.

Guard and develop those young people who are called to leadership.

Raise up this holy generation! Stand for and Serve the Marginalised

As we serve the marginalised in a practical way, help us to influence them with the Gospel.

May we always offer Christ, as well as practical help.

Lord, teach us to be inclusive.

Help us to go out and search for the neediest.

Give us the boldness to stand for justice, and to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Encourage Innovation in Mission

Give us an innovative mind and spirit.

Raise up a generation of innovators.

Bring in a season of creative sharing of the Gospel.

May everything we do in the Army be a witness – seeing creativity and innovation throughout our centres, not just the corps.

Bring innovation to the music and arts ministries.

Give us the courage to lead.

May we have a spirit of humility, so that we may learn from others.

Raise up new teachers and preachers in the Salvation Army.

May all people – young and old – feel the freedom to share new and innovative ideas.

May we not water down the Gospel or throw out our core values in our pursuit of creativity.

Restore those whose ideas have been shot down previously – may they find their confidence and voice to speak up again!

Communicate Christ Unashamedly We confess and repent of submitting to a spirit of fear and timidity.

We confess and repent of our unrighteousness.

We confess and repent of not speaking your Word when you have called us to.

We confess and repent of being a Martha, instead of a Mary.

We confess and repent of being more concerned with our reputation and public image than we have about communicating your truth.

We confess and repent of not forgiving others, and remaining angry with others.

1 Kings 13:6 Intercede with the LORD your God and pray.

Communicate Christ Unashamedly Grant us clarity of heart and mind to understand why there is a decline in the Church.

Bring REVIVAL to The Salvation Army!

Raise up a generation of young people who will speak of Christ – articulately, powerfully, in all ways and means.

Bring down the powers of darkness that attempt to stop the spread of the Gospel.

Give us courage to seek and listen.

Give us the willingness to be all things to all people by all means.

Intervene for the women in countries who are not allowed to stand and speak your Word.

Bestow a spirit of boldness upon all Salvationists.

Give a fresh anointing over all officers all around the world.

Pour out the fruits of your Spirit.

Open the gates so that your Word may be communicated.

Help us to stand and communicate without any sense of shame.

Use US!

May young people respond to the call to officership. Reaffirm our Belief in Transformation Help us in our unbelief.

May the wonderful, transforming power of the Gospel be a part of our lives – around the world!

Rescue and transform the lives of victims of human trafficking.

Strengthen the young people who are entering university, so that they may witness the transforming power of Jesus to those they meet.

May your Holy Spirit make the seeds flourish in the lives of young people who have turned away from your truth. Transform their lives and bring them back to you!

Cut off the nature of evil in communities.

Raise up support for the Army to continue working on the margins of society.

Raise up an Army of loving people. Evangelise and Disciple Effectively Release a new spirit of creativity in the worldwide Army.

Give us “can do” attitudes.

Move in the youth and children – raise up a new generation of followers of Christ!

Unite us so that we may bring the world to Christ.

Strengthen us in our faith.

Reveal evangelists in our midst.

Strengthen and encourage those who are choosing to live and work among the poor – make them your disciples.

Open our eyes to new ways to evangelise.

Grant wisdom and clarity to those who will evangelise today.

Bless every facet of evangelism in The Salvation Army.

Bring a spirit of unity amongst officers, employees, staff, and volunteers in your Army.

Bless this year’s upcoming camp programmes – may the camp staff bring your message effectively to the campers.

May we experience the outpouring of your love.

Provide Quality Teaching Resources

Grant us the ability to speak the Gospel into the condition of our time and that it may revive and inspire!
