1. Missionary Focus: Pray for Fishers of Men Ministries in Mexico. Excerpts from the latest newsletter:

"We thank the Lord, and many of you, for generously providing for a vehicle that will enable us to keep this ministry moving!"

"We had a beautiful week (in May) with the Fishers of Men crusade team serving in Michoacan, where we were able to provide 1101 free services, of which 225 individuals prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!

In June- "this full week long Evangelistic Medical Mission Crusade covered towns in both the states of Colima and Michoacan, where patients came from 21 surrounding local villages! We praise the Lord for the 945 services given and the 149 individuals who prayed to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!

Volunteer wanted! Pastor Chris is looking for a volunteer to do yard care for the church on August 17 (if needed). Talk to Chris or contact the office if you can help out!

Men's Saturday Morning Coffee Time (starting in Sept.): Please check out the signup sheet on the back table to help Pastor Chris know how much interest there is and how often you want to meet!

SS Teachers needed! Rachel Peters is looking for 3 teachers for the following classes starting in Sept- Pre-K, Grade K-2, Grade 6-8. Curriculum is provided for all the classes. If you would be willing to help out in this way or for more information, please talk to Rachel.

Aug. 22 @ 8:30 PM: Family Friendly Outdoor Movie Night @ SEC. Movie title: "Bolt". Free popcorn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. This is meant as a way to connect with our neighbourhood so please invite friends to come with you!

Sept. 9, 10:30AM: Region One Joint Service & Lunch @ SEC. Everyone welcome. More details to come.

Note from our Council: We have recently completed some revisions to our church constitution & bylaws. As members, you need to be made aware of these changes, and after one year, a vote can be held on whether to adopt them or not. The major changes are as follows: 1) Updating the language and format of our statement of faith. 2) Separating our church constitution from the church bylaws. 3) Updating the language in the document and the structures and processes within our church. The last revision was done in 1990, so some of our boards & committees have changed, etc. To save paper, we'd like to email you a copy of the proposed constitution. Please contact the office in order to receive that. Paper copies can will be made available upon request. Contact office or any council member with questions.

Kadesh News: Wow! Only two weeks of summer camp left to go. This week is Junior Teen (ages 12 - 14). Our speaker is Ryan Epp. Pray that our staff will have supernatural strength to continue on. Some of our Senior Cabin leaders have been at camp for 15 weeks and are getting tired. Camp Kadesh is successful because of our great staff, but more importantly, Camp Kadesh is a place to see our summer staff grow and step into leadership as part of the larger body of Christ. We see this long term legacy in the many speakers that come back to Camp Kadesh who were one time staff. Thank you to all that support us through finances, prayers, and volunteering!
