Determine y-intercept of a line, derive an equation for a line using y=mx+b, determine the rate of change from two values, and describe qualitatively the functional relationship between two quantities by analyzing a graph.

Module 6: Students will be able to identify and describe patterns such as clustering, outliers, positive, negative, linear, and nonlinear association, interpret and construct scatter plots, recognize, determine the equation, and make predictions of a line of best fit, and define, construct, recognize relative frequency, bivariate categorical data, differences between frequency and relative frequency and make connections between data.

Module 7: Students will be able to identify examples of linear equations with one, many, and no solutions, solve two-step equations, and linear equations with variables on both sides and that contain fractions.

Module 8: Students will be able to understand how to identify the solution to a system of two linear equations, describe their point of intersection, and graph. Also solving with two unknowns using elimination and can verify graphically, and model a real-world situation using a system of equations.
