Presenter: Bennett Borden, Esq., one of the most articulate and insightful proponents of Information Governance (IG)

Information management is in the midst of a sea change in the processes by which electronic records are managed. From a paradigm that was founded on media-centric records, where management was based on observable, physical location controlled by humans, we have now moved to the age of content-centric records, where their management is based on invisible, logical locations controlled by computers.

Because content-centric records are much more complex than media-centric records, the processes guiding the life-cycle management of content-centric records also are much more complex – in fact, “exponentially” more complex.

With the vast majority of records now having been “transformed” from media to content centricity, the functional name of “records management” evolved to “information management” – and now to “Information Governance”, which best manifests today’s rationale for managing records – risk mitigation, not space reduction.

For 23 years, the National Conference on Managing Electronic Records (MER) has been the educational “gold standard” for successfully managing electronic records.

For those of you who have recently been assigned to start, grow, or accelerate your information governance program, this FREE webinar is for YOU!

And for those who are considering attending the MER’16 national conference in May, this webinar provides a unique opportunity to confirm in advance the MER’s reputation for excellence and timely topics.

If you like the experience of this webinar, YOU WILL REALLY BENEFIT from attending the MER’16 conference!
