Pre-production Planning (Video)

Locations• We wanted to shoot the video in a wooded area, below are some of the possible locations

Brayton Barff

This is an ideal location for shooting, because it had a lot of open spaces for chase scenes and establishing shots, as well as thick densely wooded areas for creepy shots where masked characters are hiding and closing in on the main character. The wide range in terrain is ideal for shooting different ideas we want to portray in our video.

On the other hand, it is easily accessible to me and Bailey however it would be a lot more difficult for Keiran and Abbie to reach this area as they live far away.

Our second choice was Knavesmire wood

Also an ideal location, Knavesmire wood is situated in York so it is also very accessible as it is walking distance from the college. This allows easy access for both the filming crew and the actors as we can conveniently complete shooting during college hours. Knavesmire also has different terrains for shooting different atmospheric situations (for example, the calm scenic establishing shots of falling leaves would contrast against think dark wooded areas used for shots of the masked people). Also, Knavesmire trees have lots of thick foliage suitable for sheltering us from rain along with a wider path suitable for chase scenes.

TalentFor our cast we wanted to use our own group from some of the acting parts to make sure we did it right, the cast is as follows:

Costumes• Masked People+All in black (If possible)+Animal masks (Can be found on Ebay- all pitch in towards cost and split evenly)

• Main character+All in black (apart from one itemSuch as a coat which should be a Neutral colour)- to stand out from other characters.

Props• Devise a list for each member of group to bring in order to split responsibilities evenly.
