Preceptorship course in metastatic colorectalcancer management Liverpool, UK
AimBased on current evidence, a multidisciplinary approach is stronglyrecommended for improving the clinical outcome and survival rates ofmetastatic colorectal cancer patients. This live educationalpreceptorship course will give participants the opportunity to observehow a multidisciplinary approach is applied within a centre ofexcellence. This live educational preceptorship course will bepractice-oriented and will allow participants to fully integrate into thedaily activity of the centre. The preceptorship encompasses lectures,clinical case study discussions, question and answer sessions andparticipation in a multidisciplinary team meeting.
Learning objectivesAfter attending the live educational preceptorship course, participantswill be able to:
• Define criteria for the resectability of liver metastases fromcolorectal cancer
• Summarize current evidence on diagnosis and therapy formetastatic colorectal cancer patients
• Apply the multidisciplinary approach in the management ofmetastatic colorectal cancer patients
Target audienceColorectal surgeons, hepatobiliary surgeons, medical oncologistswith an interest in colorectal cancer.
Important: Partipants will need to be able to demonstrate up todate vaccination certificates for hepatitis B, measles, rubella andtuberculosis.
