PRECIOUS BLOOD On this solemnity we focus our at-tention on the Body and Blood of Christ. We listen to the story of the re-newal of the old covenant, which Mo-ses sealed by splashing the blood of animals on the altar of sacrifice, as well as on the people. Jesus, whose blood is the blood of the new covenant, shed that precious blood on the cross, saving us from sin and promising us everlast-ing life. Blood is the life source that courses through our bodies. The pre-cious blood of Christ is the life source for our spirits. Today may we, like the psalmist, offer a sacrifice of thanksgiv-ing to the Lord, whose Body and Blood strengthen us to bring the Good News to everyone we meet.

PRECIOSA SANGRE En esta solemnidad centramos nuestra atención al Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Escuchamos el relato de renova-ción de la antigua alianza, la cual Moisés selló rociando la sangre de animales en el altar de sacrificio, así como en las perso-nas. Jesús, cuya sangre es la sangre de la nueva alianza, derramó esa preciosa san-gre en la cruz para salvarnos del pecado y prometernos la vida eterna. La sangre es la fuente de vida que fluye por nuestro cuerpo. La preciosa sangre de Cristo es la fuente de vida de nuestro espíritu. Que hoy, como el salmista, ofrezcamos un sa-crificio de agradecimiento al Señor, cuyo cuerpo y sangre nos fortalecen para llevar

la Adoración Eucarística experimentada desde el inte-rior de la Iglesia. Cuantos más habría si pudiéramos al-canzar a aquellos que solo manejan junto a la iglesia preocupados solo en actividades mundanas.

FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI The feast of Corpus Christi is one time when our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament is exposed not just to faithful Catholics but to all the world. This is a time when Catho-lics can show their love for Christ in the Real Presence by honoring Him in a very public way. It is also a wonderful way in which we can show our love for our neighbors by bringing Our Lord and Savior closer to them. MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR ABOUT THE PARKING LOT COMPLETION. In November 2016 our engineer Jose Luis Be-navides presented to the City of Sanger the initial plans for the renewal of the Parking Lot of the Hall. As the plans developed the City considered it as a new project and with different conditions to be ful-filled in the next five years, like removal of wooden classrooms and building of a block wall, new LED lighting. Jose Luis needed to develop the plans, all without cost, according to the new requirements. Only after April 2018, we were given the final ap-proval of the plans. After one year and a half the cost increased from $231,000 to $340,000. We added a sewer line for the old classrooms and fu-ture new classrooms. We also prepared lines for solar Panels which will go on the Parking Lot this year. This requires an additional $65,550 not included in the original budget. I hope you see the importance to start giving on your promise or to sign for a pledge if you have not done so. Even this exterior project shows our commitment to our Church and to the Lord. MENSAJE DE NUESTRO PASTOR ACER-CA DE EL ESTACIONAMIENTO. En noviembre de 2016, nuestro ingeniero José Luis Benavides presentó a la Ciudad de Sanger los planes iniciales para la renovación del Estacionamiento del Salon. A medida que se desarrollaron los planes, la Ciudad lo consideró como un nuevo proyecto y con diferentes condiciones que se cumplirán en los próxi-mos cinco años, como la eliminación de aulas de madera y la construcción de una pared de bloque, una nueva iluminación LED. José Luis necesitaba desar-rollar los planes, todo sin costo, de acuerdo con los nuevos requisitos. Solo después de abril de 2018, obtuvimos la aprobación final de los planes. Después de un año y medio, el costo aumentó de $231,000 a $340,000. Añadimos una línea de drenaje para las antiguas aulas y futuras aulas nuevas. También preparamos líneas para los paneles solares que irán en el estacionamiento este año. Esto requiere un costo adicional de $ 65,550 no incluido en el presupuesto original.
