Dear Gurudeva, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. “Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of miserly weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me for certain what is best for me. Now I am Your disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please instruct me.”-B.G. 2.7 I have been reflecting on this verse the past couple of months, thinking about when I met you in person for the first time and where I am at now in my life. In a time when I felt like no matter which direction I went I would only meet with suffering, you helped me. Not only did you help me but you recharged my sense of purpose and helped me regain the belief that living a healthy spiritual life and saving the world was actually possible. So the past few years I have tried to the best of my ability to serve your mission. However, in doing so I neglected my personal financial life and needed some time to focus on that to at least be in a place where I can serve, not out of anxiety, but out of intelligence. I know I have distanced myself from the current strategies for making Sattva successful. But I haven’t distance myself from your vision. This whole year I’ve been working on a project that I believe will help not only financially but help promote our courses in huge way all across Latin America. This is where all of my energy is currently going. Please forgive me for my lack of communication and distancing myself from helping. I look to you as my highest example and inspiration in my spiritual life. Seeing the impact you have on devotees when you teach has truly touched me. There is a great strength and uniqueness that you have in consoling and guiding others that I've never seen in any other soul. I've met many wonderful Vaishnava teachers in our society, and although I receive siksa from them, I am not left with the same impact that I get from you. When I took shelter in ISKCON, I really took shelter in you. When you speak and teach, I really hear and feel Krishna coming through you and hitting my heart. It is natural, it is powerful and it is special. This is how I knew you were my Guru and my guide for life. I don't have this relationship nor feeling toward other siksa gurus. I reflect on my life since coming in contact with you and feel really blessed to be under your care and protection. You travel to teach, consul and guide devotees through the intricacies and hangups of this world, relationships, and spiritual life. I am always inspired by your words and guidance, as are many. I see that I have a long, long, long, long way to go but I have hope because you are encouraging and give the tools to empower me and anyone who wants it. What more could a disciple ask of you? You are always giving and nurturing to so many. I've witnessed you give shelter and protection to so many. I've seen you engage devotees in direct service. You are constantly giving out mercy. Many times I think, does anybody see what I see? You are so merciful and compassionate. My offering to you is my great endeavor in continuing my education in religious studies and the teaching work I plan to do to bring as many people to Krishna as possible. I am lacking in so many ways. Thank you for being born. Just like the first time I ever got a chance to write a Vyas Puja offering , I am late again. All this while I couldn't really gather where to start & where to end. Your love, wisdom, care know no bounds and neither do your glories. Since I have my own version of the language (LOL) - I'm actually scared to write (also because I don't want to end up writing something worth 5 offerings) Jokes & craziness aside, I've been awaiting this day since the day we went to see the doctors. I still remember the sweet, innocent look on your face when I told the man- "67 years" and you said "Its still 3 weeks, yamuna. I'm still not old. I'm 57". I just kept wondering how exalted yet humble you are. Not that I didn't know that already but it was just a one off situation I myself had a chance to witness. Every time I think about you, I'm blown away with the fact that it was only 2 years & a few months ago that you appeared in my life and turned everything upside down. I cannot believe myself what you've done to me and many others that I've heard from or the ones I've seen coming to you for guidance & you just flood them with so much mercy beyond what we can all imagine receiving. Thank you for being born and for doing all that you've done or are doing. I am struggling to find any words which factually represent my heart's expression of gratitude so here is a poem I wrote a while ago but never sent it. A fountain of attributes as a master you possess,

Compassion, love, wisdom and transcendental success.

I admired your voice for years from far,

Heard your melodies day in day out.

Never knew it was you ,

The man who's going to pull me out.

With that phone call, you changed my life,

So much has been revealed to me, so much purification has passed and so much compassion and sweetness I have felt. You have been so kind, patient and wise with me. I have learned so much through your teachings and through associating with you personally. I'm so so fortunate to be able to see so much of you where others have to bare being separated from you for sometimes more than 1 year. Being in your physical presence I feel your greatness and I see my conditioning oohhh so clearly. I'm ever so small and fallen. Your advice, kind and harsh words have been life changing. I have seen with my own eyes how you deal with each and every situation, devotees and unexpected happenings. I have been thinking what is my main realization when it comes to you Guru Maharaj as a liberated soul. It's difficult to choose but what sticks with me the most is your desire, persistence and love to please and follow the mission of your Guru Maharaj Srila Prabhupada. This love you have for him has touched me dearly and through this love for him I feel my relationship with him finally developing. I feel and see the necessity to follow the principles, read his books, chant and follow his instructions. To overcome anarthas with kindness and dedication, perform devotional service in the right mood, become a pure devotee and most important share Krsna Consciousness with all those souls out there. It is through this love that I'm able and inspired to have a relationship with Srila Prabhupada. When I see you, I see him. I understand the depth of Srila Prabhupada and I understand that for me to please you I must please Srila Prabhupada. I hope one day to make you proud, to please you. I feel so grateful and extremely blessed that you are always there ready to assist me through my devotional creeper and your unconditional service in trying to get me and so many others back and to Godhead is something that I am always indebted to you by. One of the biggest realisations this year was only just recently when you spent time here in Sydney and I was so fortunate to have so much of your association. I actually realised how all you do 24/7 is just purely serve Prabhupada, his mission and your family. I was very humbled and it inspired me so much how you are so detached yet so driven, motivated and how you serve with so much compassion and kindness as well. This is the example which really struck me most and it's something that I am also trying to aspire to be like. It was also wonderful to see how a true Grehasta marriage should be, by your example with Jahnava and I hope that one day I too can follow in this way. Your wonderful lectures are now being listened to by so many of my devotee and even non devotee friends and so many devotees are always singing your glories and praises to me on how your lectures have helped them so extremely much. The way you interpret sastra and krishna consciousness is in such a way that everyone can really understand the deeper yet practical meaning and actually apply it to their lives, this is one of your many virtues and it has helped me in my krsna consciousness so much already as well as so many others. Whenever I am struggling with something in life I always try and think how would Gurudev handle this situation and what advise would he give me now? By keeping this in my mind it helps me so much with dealing in my day to day life so I am so very grateful. Since taking initiation from you my reading has also improved I'm finding that I'm now really enjoying reading Bhagavatam and I'm reading more daily. My taste for preaching has returned and am always sharing your lectures with newer people I meet and also devotees too. When chanting Japa, I'm also finding that I am starting to relish it more and not having as many days where I feel like "I HAVE to chant" now I'm actually happy to chant and I enjoy chanting! So thank you so much because of your encouragement and mercy I feel that these areas are really starting to improve for me. There are still so many areas I need to improve on, and everyday I am trying to please you by trying to follow your instructions, listen to your guidance and pray for your mercy so I can continue to grow and also help others just like you do. One thing I saw posted recently by Prabhupada was a quote from him saying "Just give this one life to Krishna" And this really struck me, because it reminds me of when you say, "All you have to do is follow the process" so I want to follow the process as diligently as I can, try and serve you as best as I can, and try my absolute best to give this one life to Krsna! I still remember the days when we came to attend your grace classes at your house and how foolish was I for dozing in between and you smilingly sprinkled water on my face to wake me up during the class and then after the class, We had a small japa walk till The Sri Sri Krishna Balram temple. I experienced the most blissful moment while seeing you dance and sing in ecstasy during Damodar aarti. Having Darshan together of You and their Lordships at the same time was my life;s greatest blessing. I am trying to work on your instructions to spread Krishna Consciousness through Harinam Sankirtan. Please Bless me so that I may render little service to the mission of HDG Srila Prabhupad and spread Harinam sankirtan. Please give me strength to fulfill your Instructions and become a little instrument to the Srila Prabhupad Family. Dearest Guru Maharaj, Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and your lotus feet. I bow at your lotus feet and beg for your mercy on the auspicious occasion of your vyasa puja. Every year I struggle to find the words to describe what you mean to me, how much I can never repay you and how grateful I am to have met you. I find they do not it justice or just can't capture how deep the indent on my heart is from meeting you and the guidance you have given me. I was in a very dark place when I first met you. I was ready to give up, felt like my life had no meaning and could see no way out. I felt completely helpless and felt deep pain every day. I prayed so dearly to Krishna for guidance and help, as at the moment I finally understood what it meant to feel helpless and call sincerely, even if for a split second. Krishna answered my prayers in ten fold. I never expected such a ray of life to appear in my life and bring me closer to Krishna. That ray of lifewas you, guru maharaj. I recognise the lack of good qualities and sincere service attitude that I have. Most things I do are with lots of faults, mistakes and hardly any love or devotion. Yet you selflessly accept each time, without question. You never doubt me for my efforts, never turn me away no matter how awful or silly my problem is and you never shut the door on me, even when I feel the rest of the world does. That showed me the meaning of unconditional love. My brother once said to me he didn;t think being truly selfless existed in this world and we debated over this for some time. I finally realised at one point that the love a spiritual master has for his disciple is that, truly selfless and unconditional. I have nothing to offer you, I do nothing but cause trouble for you, yet you still take the time out to take care of me when it should be me doing that for you! I will be forever grateful for you entering my life and helping me see that serving Krishna is the perfection of our lives and that is what should strive for. Hearing your stories of difficulties, struggle and anxiety that you experience makes me see my problems in such a different perspective. I understand that my difficulties are so menial compared to that and I need to learn from your example on how to face them and how to continue serving. Dear Guru Maharaj, nothing in the world is more dear to me than your service and the hope that I can serve you in some way, despite the lack of qualification from myself.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur once said:

There is no work as auspicious as serving the spiritual master. Of all worship, the worship of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the greatest. But worship of the lotus feet of the spiritual master is even greater than the worship of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Unless this is firmly realised, we cannot understand what saintly association means; we cannot understand what the shelter of the spiritual master means; and we cannot understand that we are dependent and he is our maintainer. That is exactly what your mercy is to me. I have a long way to go in having any realisation regardingthis but I pray continuously that I may make it there one day, and I have absolute conviction and faith that if I follow your instructions, I have no doubt that it will happen.

Whenever I read your letters, emails or posts I always feel it speaks straight to my heart, sometimes to the point where I think "how did he know that? I haven't even written to him yet?" and I smile silently to myself because of how magical and wonderful it is.

You give your time so selfless to everyone regardless of who they are and never judge them despite what they might have done. You provide guidance for me and show me what it means to be an expert psychotherapist! I can truly say I am learning from the best and strive to help people just a fraction of what you do and pray I can continue serving you in this capacity.

I truly treasure the funny moments we share, or the LOLs in your email (which always make me actually laugh out loud when I read it) and hope these moments can be etched in my heart forever.

Please forgive me for any offences I have committed, knowingly or unknowingly at your lotus feet.

Please forgive me for not serving you the way you should be served. Please forgive me for the lack of sincerity in my service. Please forgive me for having no love and devotion in any service. Please forgive me for being a useless disciple. Thank you for accepting whatever menial small service I do.

Thank you for always guiding me like a father. Thank you for showing me what it means to selflessly love and serve Krishna, to have complete and unflinching faith in your spiritual master and to have so much love for Srila Prabhupada. Meditating on the Japa Affirmations designed by you, has helped me improve my japa significantly. I have found each affirmation to be so potent, it immediately takes my japa to another level - however I have to work on maintaining at that level. Although I have miles to go before I chant deep, and although I still behave stupidly most of the times, this experience of chanting better will gradually uplift me. And I hope good chanting soon becomes a habit for me. Also, earlier, hearing my chanting was the epitome for me, but after hearing you talk about the importance of chanting with emotion, it was like turning on a switch using which I could feel I am really accessing spiritual wealth. Whenever I chant with emotion, I can feel that I am doing something real, and the rest of the time when I am not chanting with emotion, I can understand that I am not helping myself. There is still a long way to go - most of my chanting is still without any emotion, but I now know the higher standard and I know that the switch is with me. I also am very thankful to you for the daily videos, the contents in all of them are like potent bullets, just meditating on them raises my consciousness immediately. And they are extremely helpful - all of it is relevant to our day-to-day experiences and thus we can immediately apply them. Your explanations regarding humility, false ego, mind control, sincerity are all extremely beneficial - I download many of them and try to listen to them repeatedly, so that they get imprinted in my mind, and I try to gradually start applying them. Too often my mind is obstinate enough to not allow me to think about them, but I am hopeful this will improve. Thank you for all the effort you put in to help us become better devotees. Since the onset of our spiritual journey we learn that the first step towards understanding Krishna is through sravanam or our sense of hearing. So, when I first heared your Brahama Samhita, I was completely enchanted with your voice.

The kirtans resonated with my inner being and led me to visit the Krishna.com website. Soon thereafter, I began to connect with your lectures on Krishna.com. Your lectures on ‘Living a Life of Complete Forgiveness’ and the ‘japa’ workshop have changed my life. As my understanding towards Krishna consciousness grew deeper, I desired your darshan but believed it to be too surreal to come true. The distance between Alachua and Mumbai made this desire seem impossible to manifest.

That was also a very difficult time in my life when I felt I had hit rock bottom! I felt defeated by the challenges that had engulfed me completely and pulling myself up was next to impossible.

Just then, something extremely unexpected and extraordinary happened. I saw you sitting in the temple. At first, I was in a state of complete disbelief and could not believe what my eyes were actually seeing. (Krishna has perfect timing, doesn’t He!)

Ever Since, you have been nothing but kind and merciful towards me. You encouraged me to regain my self -confidence and I felt accepted by the Lord. You instructed me like a father and pulled me out of darkness. You brought light into my life. For this, I am eternally grateful to you.

For quite some time I noticed a subtle but persistent feeling that something was missing in my life. I attributed this to an unsuitable job, home, etc. However once my material situation improved I observed that this emptiness was still there. I knew I wanted to pursue my spiritual life more seriously but I felt lost, directionless and unmotivated. Gradually Krishna helped me to understand that what I really needed was a Guru. When I arrived in Vrindavan for Kartik last year I implored Lord Nityananda from the bottom of my heart to help me find a Guru. By Krishna's arrangement I met you the next day and received more uplifting, life-changing association over that entire week! I feel so fortunate to have met you in Vrindavan. When I begin to lose inspiration, your words inspire me. When I feel that I don’t have strength you give me to strength to do what is right. When I become overwhelmed by others and circumstances, you remind me how to live a life of integrity. When I become too excited, you remind me to stay humble. When my faith flinches, you remind me of my relationship with Krishna. When there is no hope, you give me hope.

Dear Mahatma Prabhu, First of all very happy Vyasa Puja, it is an honor for me having this opportunity to express my feelings towards you in this offering. I still remember the very first day I met you, it was at Mexico's Temple, you were with Jaya Gopal Prabhu, you were dressed in casual clothes, I had not idea who you were. But when Jaya Gopal told me "He is my spiritual master" I felt very ashamed and immediately offered obeisances at your feet. That day I had something to do, but I was invited to stay for the class, this has been one of the best decisions in my life. While I was listening at the class, I was just thinking "He walks his talk, he is really amazing!" And even if I remember very well the question I asked, the most powerful in that moment was your answer and the way you ended telling me: "I think you are already suffering, otherwise you wouldn't be asking... Right?" The moment when you said "Right?" And turned your eyes towards me, with all your love, compassion, understanding, wisdom and that peculiar smile, I just felt blessed. All your letters, all your classes, all you do is just amazing, when I'm chanting my rounds and for some reason I got distracted, I immediately think "How would I be chanting if HG would be here just by my side?" In that moment I feel you there, looking at me and I focus again in the Holy Name. When I hear you talking about Prabhupāda my biggest wish is to love you as much as you love him, and surrender just the same way you did. I can invest hours and hours listening to your classes and I feel so encouraged to be more KC, to go deeper. You always have the words and the knowledge necessary at the right moment of my life.

The other way I was listening to one of your Facebook classes while cooking, and you rephrased Prabhupāda saying "You've had millions of lives, and in every life you have been taken from Krsna, give one life, this one life to Krsna and see what happen. If it doesn't work you will have millions of lives to do whatever you want" in that moment my heart was filled with love and I thought "It is true! Just one life, there is too much to win!" I think it is amazing how much my desire of serving you and Prabhupāda increases with every class, with every letter I send and every answer I get, every daily quote, every video, every picture I receive, every time I remember you. I beg to Krsna for giving me the intelligence to completely surrender, to be someone useful in your mission, in Prabhupāda's mission. My heart beats every time I just figured it out. After many years i realized that this was actually the desire that Suhotra Maharaj had for his disciples, that we would all stay on our spiritual path and take guidance of a bonafide Guru in Srila Prabhupada's iskcon after his departure. I was very happy when you replied me last year that you wanted to guide me! Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur writes in his song 'Ohe Vaisnava Thakura', "I do not find the strength to carry on alone the sankirtana of the holy name of Hari. Please bless me by giving me just one drop of faith with which to obtain the great treasure of the holy name of Krsna." Life in this material world is very intense, it is a daily fight against drowning in the ocean of misery. This process of bhakti yoga is the only way by which we will be able to survive this trap and the only way to get out of this material life. As aspiring devotees of the Lord we all know that only by the mercy of the Guru we will be able to walk properly on our spiritual path, yet sadly there is still a big gap between Guru and disciples. This space should be made more tight by taking advantage of following the Guru, listening daily to His classess and most important, when we have doubts or when we struggle we should tell our Guru, share what lays on our heart and what disturbs our mind, that is the only way by which we will be able to make advancement because it is only by being open and honest to the Guru that He can see through us and can help us in the best way that is needed. Just like in church we can see how some times people go to the pastor and confess to Him their sins, we as disciples should also be able to confess our sins or our struggles, that is the only way how the relationship between Guru and us can get more stronger. I am sure that many of us feel ashamed to write negative things, also because we do not want to sound as a bad devotee, but by doing so we will realize that it only makes us better, it clears our hearts and opens our eyes.

You should live somehow or other without any quarrel in this mortal world only for the service of Godhead. Do not please give up the service of Godhead in spite of all dangers, all criticisms and all discomforts. Do not be disappointed for most people in the world do not serve the Personality of Godhead; do not give up your own service which is your everything and all, neither reject the process of chanting and hearing of the transcendental Holy Name of Godhead. Guru-Maharaj, I had been dealing with a problem in my life on the topic offorgiveness. I had always believed that in order to have forgiveness the two disputing parties had to come together again. I knew this could never be the case in my situation and because of this had not worked on forgiveness in my own heart. It was during our conversation in Govinda’s Ashram that you explained to me that forgiveness does not involve the other party but instead a process that happens within each individual. In that moment I felt my heart soften and let go.

This day of you appearance is such a wonderful opportunity to meditate on the unlimited fortune and blessings we have to be able to develop a connection with you. Few days ago, in New Mayapur, I helped a young devotee couple to clean a house. The house is almost falling apart but they are restoring it. It used to be the house of the first disciple of His Holiness Indradyumna Swami. There, we found many pictures books of His Holiness and some vyasa puja books. I was so amazed by the devotion I could feel in this old house and as I read some of the Vyasa puja book I felt tears coming to my eyes. Will I one day be able to feel something close to what I could read in this books? Will I one day have this ammount of faith and love toward you? Last April it was the anniversary of our first meeting. This day when everything changed. I had never felt like this in my life before. This moment when I felt in my whole self that you were my way to Krsna. That you were my only chance to be delivered me from this entanglement. You had said nothing yet, you just started a kirtan and almost right away I was transported by your love to Krsna and I connected to the intense desire of serving you for the rest of my life. Never in my Krsna consciousness life I had felt like this, I was not even thinking of finding a Guru. It was an evidence as Krsna Consciousness was when I heard my first kirtan. I was nothing before I met you and I'm only here by your mercy. Your are my strength and my willingness to carry on and chant the Holy Names of the Lord. I owe you more than my life. This past year, having you a my guide and my spiritual father was the most amazing and difficult year of my life. It felt like a lifetime. It hasn't been a long time since I've known His Grace Mahatma Prabhu. The contact is just through emails. And I'm very grateful for his and his disciple Yamuna Mataji's divine association. I remember the first time I had messaged Yamuna Mataji, few days later she sent me a message reminding students for sending their respective Sadhna reports. And I thought it wasn't for me, I didn't deserve it. But surprisingly the next day His Grace Mahatma Prabhu uploaded a message video on the topic "take the mercy". And I nearly thought that he indirectly was telling me to write and submit my Sadhna report, which I instantly did. But this is not the first time it happened to me that he indirectly told me to do something through his videos. One more I remember when he uploaded his message video that said about how to focus on Krsna, how Krsna loves us so much. And I really needed the message that day because I was, what we can say, spiritually depressed. I don't remember the rest, but there were many instances that happened when he was indirectly instructing me through his videos, and I know Krsna is responsible for that, or by directly contacting him through emails. I was literally lost and alone until I had the good fortune of your personal association on three beautiful occasions at the Sri Sri Radha Radhanath temple in Durban. As practitioners of Krishna Consciousness we have embarked on a journey, a spiritual journey, to our eternal home, returning to our eternal family. The journey is arduous and full of so many obstacles and temptations. As travellers on this journey we are fatigued, questioning the very need to take this journey. While trudging along we are exhausted from carrying the heavy load of our material conditioning, attachments and infatuations. This journey is so difficult and trying that many practitioners give up mid-way. Even Krishna (in the Brihad Bhagvatamrta) recognises and acknowledges the troubles and challenges that the spiritual practitioner endures to reach the spiritual world. And, when we receive spiritual care, encouragement and causeless love from our seniors is when we actually have the strength to endure the next few steps in our journey. That love, being causeless, gives so much hope and joy. That love is Krishna’s love for the jiva flowing through the Guru and Parampara. We want to take this opportunity to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all the causeless love and care that you have given to our tender spiritual lives. In your love for us, we feel the love of our spiritual master, the love of Srila Prabhupada and ultimately Krishna’s love. As we trudge along the pat of Krishna Consciousness we stumbled and fumbled, and yet you gave us your time, your care, your attention and your love…absolutely causelessly, to nourish us and encourage us. One incident we wanted to share, a few months ago when I [Anuradha Sakhi] was seeking help from His Grace he recommended I do a particular course, I was hesitant due to financial constraints. Immediately His Grace said that perhaps he can help me acquire the course should he receive further laxmi. This gesture really touched my heart as I know amidst very limited funding, with a dire need of funds for your preaching projects, you still offered to get me the help I need so selflessly as a perfect brahmana and guru as genuinely cared about my well-being Just as the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, our interactions with your disciples has also left us in awe at their compassion and willingness to help. On sharing the above incident with one of your senior disciples she immediately said, please let me know what is cost of the course, I will try to help. I was amazed at her generosity and willingness to help a stranger in order to fulfill her Guru s wishes. On other occasions one of your younger disciples has amazed us at her love for you and your mission, and assisted us personally in keeping us inspired with so many loving, kind and encouraging words. These experiences reveal the impact you have on changing not only your discipless; lives but anyone who even meets them. We see that the seeds that you are planting are blooming so beautifully in the form of your disciples wanting to help others genuinely as you have helped them with so much love and personal involvement. Thank you again for the love you have given to our little powerball Taruni when she met you. You truly knew how to soothe a mother's heart and named her Om Shanti dasi :), giving us great hope that the future will be calm for her with your blessings :D This year we pray to have your darshan in the US/ Canada, and spend more time learning from you and serving you. Though I had very less personal interactions with maharaj and exposure to his grace's services what i have learnt and observed is amazing. Maharaj very nicely explains the teachings of Srila Prabhupada and principles of Bhakti Yoga in a very appealing way and more easier way to understand the actual essence of what Srila Prabhupad meant like "the intent of the law" rather than "the Letter of the Law" which is very very essential for the newer generation of neophyte devotees like who are hovering just on mental platforms and many times get carried over by the externals without trying to understand the essence and ending up in problems. The compassionate nature of maharaj is very very hope giving as seen by his personal example in serving many devotees around the world trying to help them help themselves to practice krishna consciousness better and i will try my best efforts to be graateful to maharaj for his kind help received in my life. Also Maharaj's dedication towards the mission of ISKCON and service to his beloved Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada continously for so may years is very much inspiring. It has been more than four years since I first had the fortune to meet you, attend your seminars and serve you in some small way. The first taste I would have to hear nectar from you was for a Japa retreat you held at Bhaktivedanta Manor. I remember the first few minutes of the retreat left a very deep impression upon me. You started by asking participants the question “If you arrive on time, you are..?” and your answer of “Late” remains with me very fondly today. The retreat changed my relationship with the Holy Name in a very profound way – you gave such practical knowledge which anyone could easily appreciate and apply – thank you for leaving me with such a deep first impression. Initially, I got to hear a lot about how personal you are with all of your disciples and well- wishers. This is one of the things that really appealed to me about you. I was able to see this first hand during all the time I’ve been blessed with you. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to serve you so personally in London, with various small services such as driving and also for engaging my family in some service too – I am sure it will hold them in good stead eternally. However, my time in Mayapur was the most special – I really got to know you as a person and what amazing qualities you possess. Just like your spiritual master, our dear Srila Prabhupada, you have a deep desire within you to create a positive lasting change in this world – one that will help souls not just in their temporary designations but for their eternal life. I am really touched by the time and effort you make for not just your disciples and well wishers but to all those you feel will benefit from your guidance. When I reflect the time that I had with you in Sri Dhama Mayapur, I am still perplexed by my fortune, which I can only attribute as your mercy. To have been able to come on morning walks with you, work on improving to chant the Holy Name during your Japa retreats and do the simple services such as bringing a sitting mat for the enthusiastic Vaisnavas who attended your weekly classes, I still cannot fathom how rare of an opportunity this was to take association of Krsna's pure devotee. Most of all, I really appreciated hearing from you on a regular basis. Your classes were both practical and enlightening. You speak the truth which comes from scripture but also extend with your realisation which penetrates the heart and bypasses one’s false ego. I have really come to admire your style of delivering the truth in a digestable manner which appeals to so many people. How dear you must be to Sri Krsna for all of your faithful service to Srila Prabhupada. I find that you are always absorbed in service to your spiritual master, constantly setting such a wonderful example for all your disciples to follow. I also really look up to you for your mood, which is filled with genuine compassion and love. You always endeavour to facilitate Lord Caitanya's mercy in new and innovative ways, the most recent being your immeasurable work on Soul Tools. It is my sincere desire that I may be able to assist you, in some small way, in your service to Srila Prabhupada. After being faced with one of the most difficult phases of my life, I came in touch with one of your articles on Dandavats on which you had written your email address at the bottom. So from this I thought that I should maybe write and ask for your advice. After sending my first mail back in January, I found myself writing to you again and again with my issues. The way you expressed your genuine concern and willingness to help is an inspiration for all devotees around the world. Despite being so busy, you still went out of your way to help me in my situation. In the Bhagavad Gita (7.16), Krishna says: catur-vidhā bhajante māṁ janāḥ sukṛtino 'rjuna ārto jijñāsur arthārthī jñānī ca bharatarṣabh O best among the Bhāratas, four kinds of pious men begin to render devotional service unto Me — the distressed, the desirer of wealth, the inquisitive, and he who is searching for knowledge of the Absolute. It's through yours and Krishna's mercy that through the times of distress, I was able to connect to you. And it is through this connection that I feel more in touch with my Krishna consciousness than before. Without your help and guidance, I feel as though I would be stuck in the same situation, or maybe in an even worse situation, than what I was in back in January. It's not just the emails that have helped me, but all the articles on your website have been so helpful in all aspects of my life. In such a short period of time, I feel as though you have helped me so much and showered me with so much undeserving mercy. As I sit here, I find myself once more unable to succinctly articulate myself, as I have been for the last couple of weeks spent trying to write this offering. Nonetheless, I will try my very best. I seem to have this strange ability or phenomenon that occurs when I meet people for the first time, especially in unfamiliar surroundings. What happens is that I do not see that person’s face clearly until I get to know them. With you however, it was the total opposite. In fact, I remember how clearly and distinctly your face stood out for me as you were sitting on the Vyas-asana in Cape Town last year. That was the first time I’d ever seen you, and the first time I set foot in a temple. Even then, without knowing much about the movement or even about spiritual masters, I felt as though you were speaking just to me at that very moment. That is something I can never forget. As miserable as I am at writing, I feel that I cannot just offer you something as simple as the word “thanks”. I wouldn’t be doing much justice to you (or to my feelings, in fact) if I did so. Instead, I would like you to know just how much I see how you have changed my life, Maharaja. It might sound dramatic that I say that, but it is nothing but the truth. That is simply what you have done. I was in an incredibly dark space when Krsna brought you into my life. Now, 6 months later, I still struggle, but knowing that I have you there gives me so much strength, I thank you for bringing the best out of me and for cleaning out this heart of mine that I can learn how easy and beautiful the process of forgiveness can be. I have not known so much freedom and relief in a long time. I thank you for unfailingly giving us Prabhupada, and for showing us the way to his lotus feet , right through the parampara and one day , back to Godhead. This time when you left from Sydney Airport, me and Amrita Radhika were watching you walk through the security gates and vainsh. We were left feeling so sad and that lead us to think that how difficult it is for disciples to see you leave from where ever you go . Which then further lead us to think how difficult it would be for you too. Yet you remain cheerful on your way to saving other souls. Just like when Chaitanya Maha Prabhu went preaching he would meet people …teach them the Harinaam and they would follow them mesmerized where ever he went. After some time he would send them back home having given them the seeds of Bhakti . Then he would move on to different places saving more souls. You are just like him …saving all of us on your way back home _/\_ And if we again still start to wander away from the Path…you are back to save us again By your example you have been teaching us all the way along. You have taught me to love Srila Prabhupada…because of you I feel so connected to him. Through his and Your lectures and all his memories spread across the world I never feel that I never have met him. Thank you for giving me this connection _/\_ Your attachment to Prabhupada is so strong and so evident that it catches on to any one in your association. You spread Prabhupada ;s love where ever you go. I am still taken aback by what you said the night before leaving Sydney, when all of us were sitting in your room in the Sydney temple - You were describing how you would stand a bit back from Prabhupada and not ask many questions when he would visit ….thinking You would be wasting his precious time . It still blows me away. I really felt that it would have been so nice if ALL the disciples would have been there to hear you speak that day. They would all have been blown away by what you said.
