NEW PATCHES
- 5.1.4/5.1.5 ( Sept17/May18 ): implementation of verification for new BUFR format buoy data, correct visualization for cross verification graphics and for EPS verification pdf.
- 5.1.6 ( Oct 2018 ): management of the new synop messages BUFR template (SYNN), concerning cumulated/averaged fields defined by “time period” descriptor (windgust, precipitation…)
- 5.1.7 ( Jan 2019): bug fixing on software installation process, availability of txt output file for every EPS verification score.

- Observed parameter creation: “name” = ex. Windgust-3h, “obs type” =
surface, “bufr code” = 11041, “unit” = m/s (check bufr field).
- Bufr mapping setup: ex. 3 hour case – “bufr code” = 11041, “wmo code” = 5
digits number not already in use for other parameters ( ex. 88888), “displacement” = 180 minutes.
- Forecast parameter creation: “grib code” = 187, “code table” = 201.
- Average period control: once fixed the average time for the verification it is
responsibility of the user to introduce in the system only grib files with the coherent average time (3 hours in our case).
- Grib set: before loading grib files in the FE it is necessary to set the field TRI to 0
and remove from the DB any old record with different TRI value.
