Summer is nearly over, but you’d never guess
it with the temperatures we’re having. The
pandemic is still raging and social distancing
and masks are the new normal. The car show
committee decided that, with the issues that
could change and kill the show altogether
after much work and expense, instead we will
go to “Plan B”. Exactly what that will entail is
still to be fleshed out, and we will be looking
for ideas and input from all of you at our
meeting on August 5th. The basic idea is a
Saturday-only event that will include one or
more cruise routes around town and a way to
allow participants to get lunch along the way.
Entry fee will be minimal, a cool T-shirt with
masked cars or some such will be available,
possibly some games. We won’t be hitting up
a bunch of sponsors, the goal will not be
fund-raising but fun-raising. No trophies, no
judging, just a show-n-shine where the town
can come take a look. We also have some fun
activities being planned for the club members
in August and the months to come. I Hope to
see you at our upcoming (Wed, Aug 5th) cruise
with the monthly meeting immediately after
at Green Valley Park – bring a chair. And check
out our official Facebook page, put together
by Sue Renaud.

During this year of the pandemic a lot of people have been doing gardening and that means
lots of zucchini . If you didn’t plant any this year your friends and neighbors might have and
need someone to take some off their hands. I have included a wonderful recipe that has become
one of my summer and winter favorites. Freeze a few generous grated cups for the winter. Enjoy!
